This. I've been in linkshells where you were kicked for jumping servers, and all your points deleted, even if you had plans to come back. I've been in linkshells where you'd be kicked for doing events with other (competing) shells. Not saying it's right, but unless you're just in like a social linkshell, people aren't going to be happy to wait around for you for three months.

This is why I don't do endgame. I'm not the kind of person to schedule my real life around a video game. Video games are for fun in my free time: not for deciding when and if I have free time. I'm sure others disagree with me, but this is why I don't have an endgame shell... Or a social one for that matter.

As for your name issue, I can't really offer a ton of advice other than ignoring the ignorant folk because I've never been in that situation. Idk, next time someone starts shouting that you're RMT, shout back about how they just bought 1M gil from your company.
