Dunno off the top of my head, I normally don't fight the NMs and I tank them even less. However isn't that the Brd one? I would assume he can use the Brd two hour, and I also believe he uses the att+ songs. I could see him hitting that damage output level with a warcry+att songs, with or without the two hour.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

I don't have a big ego, it just has a large mouth.

Last night I saw Three Eye Bindga then pick off at least 7-8 people with ranged attacks in rapid succession. Whether SE has been ninja tweaking campaign NMs or the people in the zone got really unlucky is anyone's guess.

Oh come on people! You know how it works!

You enter a small dark smokey room that smells like armpits. On the wall is a big screen monitor and there is some various electronic equipment in the room. There are 2 JP guys leaning back in their chairs by a panel of switches. Cans of soda/coffee are strewn around them along with ashtrays full of cigarette butts.

          Juro: Ahhhh... what a day!
Aki: Ya I know! These freakin people complain too much.
Juro: I need a new job. I thought this game would die a long time ago.
Aki: Ya look at them. They put in this new thing...whats it called....
          Juro: ....um...Campaign.
Aki: ya Campaign! So now they can play easier, we'll never get better jobs Juro!
Juro: Aki, if that boss there...
          Aki: ..where...what bos...
Juro: See that big one right there, Vuu Puqu the Beguiler? If he got really tough and beat their asses, they'd stop playing campaign!
Aki: Ya! ............wait..............I have an idea!

Aki fiddles with the controls while Juro pesters him. Aki tells Juro to do a few things and they both set off on a plan to ruin the lives of all the FFXI gamers! Will Juro and Aki succeed!? What fiendish plot with Aki devise!? Will Juro go along with Aki's evil plot? Will Aki and Juro finally get new jobs!!?

That's pretty standard, he hit me on PLD for 1300+ no crit, I saw him slap my COR friend for 3k no crit. He's a jerk all around, I try to not mess with him until he's the last mob left.

I was expecting a yes or no answer to the two question...

I'll add this in the "long winded" no campaign changes and yes the NM hits that hard column.

Anyone who doesn't tackle the NMs until after all the other mobs are dead are crazy and suicidal.

Depends what job I'm on and what NM it is, I'll sometimes grab them as RDM and kite them around a bit for extra points.

I tend to do that for the xp and give the poor sap who drew aggro some breathing room to finish off what they were originally tanking. That was the plan I had when Vuu Puqu did a little "Fist of the North Star" action on me.

I tend to dislike the notion of kiting the NMs, mostly because the people doing it tend to die next to me, or next to a group of people fighting mobs, leading to my death or wiping half the zone.

                      It's much safer IMO to just let the NMs approach the fort and pick off the normal mobs until you're down to the NM. Sure there are some NMs that aren't that bad, or weren't last I fought them. But most are nasty ; ;

I completely agree if the NM are attacking the fortification. Most of the time I see them already attacking players who are fighting mobs.

Seeing as how the mobs always run on the same path, and it only varies by the direction that they approach the fort, I tend to have a Darwinism approach to that

I'm willing to help people in Campaign, but I am not willing to help the people who grab and link 6+ mobs and the NM on their way to the fort. I'm also not willing to help the people who fight in the known path that the mobs take to the fort when it's known that another wave or two or even three is approaching.

Yeah, that was an interesting fight to watch as a group of 15 people decided to tackle the entire incoming wave, and fight in the path when we got messages saying that something like 3 or 4 waves of enemies were incoming from the same direction.

It's a bit different in some zones like Jugner where there are so many players that we can actually go toe to toe with multiple waves and the mobs may not even make it to the fort. For areas that only have maybe 20 or fewer people or so in them however, you need to exercise some caution and some level of clear thinking in those areas or else nothing will save you.

That is probably my problem...caution. I tend to throw caution to the wind in campaign because of no exp loss and the crazy amount of xp you get for taking damage and healing damage. My usual tactic is to tank something during a campaign battle, even if i know I am going to die (love 30 AN reraise). I usually make about 1.4k for tanking a mob. I usually end the battle with 3.1k-3.8k a battle.
