Petition to SE - Race Change (Please Sticky)

Ever wanted to play a different race? Ever wished you'd chosen another race? Ever wanted to start a new race, but didn't want to give up all the progress of your current character? Maybe you're just tired of guys always hitting on you because of the character you play. Maybe it's time that SE gave us a change.

I recently asked about this type of thing, because frankly, "/blist" isn't enough to keep people at bay (and I'm really just a Taru at heart). The GM told me that they couldn't do anything about it for me, but that I should submit my cause to Comments and Suggestions. She also told me that I should get friends to help send in their thoughts, because the more people that ask, the more chance we'll have to make it work. She said this is exactly what got other changes to the game made (Return to Vanadiel, Account recovery, etc).

If you feel the same way I do, please help by sending your own comments to SE. The form is located in the PlayOnline viewer: Service and Support > Support > E-mail Support > Request type: Comments and Suggestions.

While I personally do not wish to change my race, I know several people who would. I'll write up a comment in a little while and send it to SE.

Right, while we Tarutarus wouldn't want to ever change, other people may want to change to Tarutarus.

I don't know. Some Tarutaru might want to change their race, because they're tired of the constant threat of being eaten by a Mithra. Mmm... Barbecued Taru

I half want to change my race, just because, while tarutarus are made of win and awesome, most gear is so scrunched on their body, you can't appreciate its beauty.

Also, there is nothing sexier than a Galka Dancer in a subligar, and I wish I could be that hot for at least one day.

I don't see why not. No one really cares about what race you are, it doesn't effet the gameplay much, I don't see why not.

It's probably because they think people will find a way to abuse it by constantly changing race depending on which job they are leveling or using.

Of course, this can be easily fixed by a $25 charge! Kinda like changing servers!

They just need to make it a one-time deal, like restoring your account if it's stolen. You can change, but think about it first. If you truly want to, you can, but you can't change back.

That would deter abuse of it but allow it to work out.

Gyotosha hit the nail on the head. Mention a chargeable 'luxury' type service and they'll prolly go for it With a cooldown period to prevent abuse by rich ppl.

God no. Tarutaru talk annoyingly enough as it is. And that comes from a Windurstian. Last thing I need is people talking like Qiqirns too. =P
