Curious, after you use a rice ball while having the 'enhance rice ball' equipment equipped, can you equip other gear after the rice ball is eaten and still retain the enhanced effect?

Re: Rice ball enhancement
You have to keep the items equipped, but there are 3 of them...
Myochin Kote (SAM AF/AF+1), Roshi Jinpachi (anyone can wear it, but it doesn't do anything outside the Riceball effect), and Nobushi Kyahan which is MNK/SAM/NIN and has Acc+4 and Store TP+4.
Myochin Kote +1 are very nice, coming with nice strong STR+7 and DEX+7 bonuses. You just have to do Limbus to get them.
Each piece you wear confers the bonus effect, so if you wear 3 pieces and eat Tonosama:
Attack +150
Defense +90
Double Attack +3%
Which, I believe, is better than you can get on any combination of other gears for those 3 slots. Of course, you'd be sacrificing spots for Haste or Accuracy gear. The Myochin Kote +1 look pretty nice for WS too, so I could see skipping other WS hands in favor of keeping the Rice Ball effect up during WS.
The "Rice Ball Build" would be part of an Attack build since there is no Haste and very little Accuracy. I don't really know how much Haste you have to put on those three slots to compensate for the Attack +150, but 150 attack is a lot of power....
and if you get a hold of a Shogun Riceball for some crazy fight... remember that it'll give you Double Attack +15% with all 3 pieces equipped which, IMO, soundly thrashes anything else you could wear that doesn't involve accuracy. Shogun Riceballs last only 30 minutes and cost 12k each on Asura if you can find one at all--a single Shogun is sold about once every 20 days on Asura. Bahamut, the most populous server (I think) sells 1 every 10 days at 5k each.Last edited by Sabaron; 09-15-2008, 01:28 PM.
