well I'm sure one of those steps is to contact POL immediately. and using Allakahzam to search
which server they moved the character to.

but what else? a relative got theirs stolen and we need enough information to help POL track
down the character before it's auctioned off or something. and if POL screws up, will they ever compensate the loss in a reasonable way?

They should know their Playonline ID and their credit card details, as well as what address the cards and registration codes are registered to. That should be enough to get the password reset and back in their hands.

Don't just call up SE without any of the above information.

NO! they wont, I had my character stolen, I gave them the time frame, sent in Notary forms, countless times. After 5 months do I still have my character back? hell fucking no......... this new system sucks, it may prevent certain people from getting your account info through their systems, but it makes it hell for actual account holders to get theirs back. I like how they used to do things a lot better than they are now.... :S

Yeah you need POL,FFXI reg codes, but tell your friend to be prepared for a wait, everytime I call them back asking if they got my form they say no, and then I talk to chat, they say still under investigation....... its been 5 months now I've pretty much given up. Thank god I have been lvling my 73BLM it makes me feel like less of a noob ; ; but I still miss my old chr.
