I'd just go get the Vana'diel Collection 2008. It's cheap and has all expansions, and you get a hard copy of it.

My advice as well. I don't know for sure what version of the software you will be getting using the D2D option (although I'd bet it's the U.S. version), so if you want the EU version you may have to order the Vana'Diel Collection anyways. Besides, as we all know that computers can be sadistic and up and die on peeps for no reason, having an actual disc will definitely make reinstalls a LOT easier. Also, D2D may only be limited to one PC, so if you are ever going to install on multiple computers you'd want the actual disc anyways.

        Re: d2d us.

OP is apparently done with this thread already, and already has the software. But for posterity's sake (not that anyone reads existing threads), accounts are region-specific. If you create a US account (and I assume D2D would give you US codes), you'll have to get US codes for any expansions you want to add to that account. You can play any kind of account on any kind of client (e.g. a US account on US/JP/EU PS2/Xbox/PC, whatever), but I believe you have to do the handling of the account (registering expansions, creating content IDs, changing billing info, etc.) on a client for the region that matches your account (I have no personal experience with this last part, I just seem to remember it being the case).
