i have ff11 and the first two expansions.
i was planning on coming back but the only problem is im kinda broke because i just came back from a two month holiday so i was planning on just holding off for the controller and the other two expansions till i get a bit of cash....so i was wondering if playing with a key bored is really that bad? does anyone here play with a keybored.

but you seem to have played FF11 for a long time so i will take your word for it.

I used a Keyboard, but then I have a Logitech G15 so could set upmy alt+1 etc. on the G keys to speed casting and WSing. I found more control with keyboard / mouse than the controller.

It is however personal preference with what works best for that said person.

I believe most people say keyboards are better than controllers.

It's a contentious issue, but long story short we had a big debate on this awhile back, and controller users conceded that controllers were fine for things like farming and such, but that in anything where you might need to communicate with a group, they had at least a small disadvantage against keyboard users. The keyboard is better, generally speaking.

I played FFXI on the playstation when it was first released in America. left for a long while and came back with my PC and decent controller. Generally speaking the controller in sitting on a shelf collecting dust waiting for some other game to come along to catch my interests for a bit.

Which is basically why the controller fails for anything more than farming. Having to switch between the keyboard and the controller is a time consuming process; and there's really no way to communicate by controller. Even with VOIP programs, that leaves you out of contact with anyone who isn't on it.
