Question about Stats

Can anyone tell what exactly the stats do for you?
I mean I understand in premise that STR increases your damge and AGI increases your dodge.
But what is CHR for? I haven't noticed any sorta barter system with the shops and I don't think the monsters attack you less when you have more of it.

Charisma is a stat that helps determine the effectiveness of many Bard Songs, the success rate of a Beastmaster's Charm Job Ability, and the strength of a Dancer's Curing Waltz. It also helps in resisting Charm and Bard songs, and is rumored to affect a number of other Job Abilities and passive "Killer" Job Traits (e.g. Undead Killer)Verification Needed. This stat is associated with the Light element.

Certain Weapon Skills (such as Dancing Edge and Shadowstitch) and certain Blue Magic (such as Bludgeon and Eyes on Me) are affected by Charisma.
