Current (and Safe!) Parser?

Going under the assumption that parsers are NOT against ToS etc, my question is:

Where can I find one that is current enough to still be 90%+ accurate and relatively safe to use (essentially, one that we know isn't intentionally setup to be malacious)?

I have this link:

But I'm not quite sure it's current enough. If it can be made so, and anyone has the knowledge, please share .

1. No third party tool can be proven safe unless you've examined the code yourself or you got it from a "trusted" source.

2. DirectParse is the most commonly used parser for FFXI. When updates come out for FFXI, all that needs to be changed is a memloc which you can usually find over here:

Navigate to the last page for the current memloc.

Modern parsers are somewhat 'invasive' in that they read FFXI's memory directly to get up-to-date log info, but it doesn't directly change FFXI's behavior at all (as far as distinctions from somewhat more controversial tools like W6r). There are parsers that work off of only those logs FFXI dumps to disk and thus are totally non-invasive (can even be run from another computer if you share FFXI's temp folder), however, none of these parsers is being currently developed.

I've been considering making some updates to a platform-independent parser I use, or replacing some parts of it, but at the moment my FFXI-related development efforts are focused on a searchable equipment database.
