just wanted to do a quick introduction. my names mike im returning to vana diel after about one year away, i couldnt resist any longer lol. im actually updating as i type and am excited to get back into things. in my last time playing i had a male taru taru summoner/white mage who i loved but alas he got erased and since i took to long coming back i have to start over. i was too horribly far into the game so i shouldnt be to long getting back to where i was. so anyways ive rambeled enough just wanted to say hi and its nice to find a forum dedicated to the game.

Re: hello everyone
did have a question tho. i bought the vana diel collection 2008 and it says my registration code is invalid. i ended up using a freedownload code from an old version i had of the game but now i only have acess to the core ff 11 game none of the expanisons. i think the code was taken out of the manual and used cause i got it from gamestop and it was the last one they had in stock so it was an open copy . i tried to take it back but they said they dont do returns on mmos because of the registration codes. so my question is do i have to buy new versions of the expansions or can i get a new code from square?

Re: hello everyone
=/ Sad to say this, but unless you can prove the store sold you a previously opened box, there's nothing you can do if the store refuses to refund/replace.
Some stores put stickers marking "previously opened" merchandise, but I'm not sure if Gamespot does that. If that sticker is still on, you can argue they knowingly sold you an game which was potentially unusable, since their own policy pointed out they cannot take returns of opened MMORPGs for that very reason.
Most likely, though, you're just out of luck...Bamboo shadows sweep the stars,
yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water.
