Question about getting back into FFXI!

Hey gang!

I've been away from FFXI for quite some time, and I've been looking into getting back into things. I do have some questions though. I've been gone so long I'm afraid I've lost my character, does SE still delete your character after 3 months of inactivity? If so, I'm wondering if BST is still the same way it was about 8 months ago. Any additional info about what's been going on in the meantime that I've missed would be greatly appreciated! Thanks =D

No they do not, I recovered my account OVER a year later, all intact. Just call them up, and I believe they needed the CC# you originally billed with to verify it's you and they'll give you all the info you need. g/l and welcome back

No, I had almost a year and a half on mine before I came back... everything was still there... down to the money I got from AHing all my HQ gear. You'd be surprised how much you can buy with gil saved from before inflation was dealt with.

Yes and no. You can find parties a lot easier on BST now, but that's mainly because it's harder to find parties on the low end of the game. They'll be happy with any DD, though it does give you a chance to teach them how well BST + pet does the job. Most lowbie parties are for some odd reason TP burns as well.

I would highly suggest checking out wiki's bst page here, there have been a few changes to beastmaster since 8 months ago, like no exp penalty when you charm a mob, and if I remember correctly there were some new job abilities added, and the recast time for some of them was changed. Hopefully you'll be able to find all the information you need there, I'm no BST expert, lol. Also, welcome back to the game :D
