          Not a shout but still quite funny.

          I was doing some quick Bug Broth synths for a little more supplementary gil after farming and I saw two people come into the Catalyst Shop at different time. Both were Mithra. One was called "Iamnotagurl" and the second that arrived later was called "Ididitforthedex".

                    I remember when I exploited the lag between changing jobs and support jobs to run around as a 75 BLM without a subjob. Ah, fun times... fun times...

                      This made me think of the time I saw a shout in WG that said something like...

                      "SOME SHIT MAKIN MY LETTERS BIG!"

                        Yesterday, I saw one player shouting in Whitegate. The shouts themselves weren't terribly funny... but I got a good chuckle out of it when I realized what was going on.

                        A player was shouting that Chayaya had disappeared. I saw a post to the server forum at Lakshmi just that morning that Chayaya needed to be rescued, so I had assumed he was just a victim of Besieged. But then the player mentions that they just saw Chayaya 10 minutes ago. They said they tried moving away from the area and coming back, zoning, and even logging out and back in. And still no Chayaya.

                        I leave to go do the ENM Brothers, and arrive back at Whitegate almost 3 hours later to see this player *still* shouting about it. It turned out that she couldn't find Chayaya because she was looking for him in Whitegate, NOT Al Zahbi. She had been camping an empty tent all that time.

                            This reminds me of a lag problem I had once:
                            The internet at my school is really tight when no one is online at 8 am, but at 8 pm when it has a ton of traffic it can't even load ffxi.
                            One day @ 8 am when it was in pwn mode I changed from 75 thf to 40something nin and hit status, and merits was still availible and I went into it, and could merit my level 40 ninja
                            i didnt though because i only had 2 merits availible or something stupid
                            and no matter how many times i tried it; I have never gotten it to work again

                            anyone else ever have it happen? O.o
