Curious about lvl 1 job warp.

Hey all, im new here and sorry if this has been asked alot, but does SE consider switching to a level 1 job heading out to some mobs and dying a warp cheat? I was told by poeple that it was okay, so i did it, now my account has been banned for 72 hours for "Warp Cheating" so im just curious if this is what they are referring to as me cheating, or if they made a mistake and think im doing it some other way. Thanks for any info.

I did it for years. No, its not a cheat. Not unless they drastically changed their policies in the last couple months.

Its not cheating, but it is kind of a sign you've not learned how to use the Outpost warp system or made efforts to learn the other means of travel in the game. I can't remember the last time I bloodported a level 1 job just to get back to homepoint or the last time I've seen anyone but a NIN main do it.

Are you 100% sure you got suspended just for that? o_O If that's the case they'll´probably have to suspend 99.9% of the population.

Ive talked to them twice and they said both times "Warp Cheat" i was a little surprised seeing as i dont cheat and have no clue how too. I know how to use outpost warp, but i dont see why changing my job in dunes, to go back to windy is so shocking? saves me alot of time when im lazy.

It's not shocking. I didn't use outpost warps for years in FFXI and I got around just fine with blood warps. I knew how to do outpost quests but just didn't bother with them.

Loads of people use that method, ALL the time. I know people who don't have a mage job and don't see why they should waste gil or CP or something on a warp when they can go change to a level 1 job and die outside. Everyone calls that the D1! Or at least on Sylph

It's a very common thing, the only reason I no longer do it is because I have pretty much every OP warp, have BLM leveled and generally carry a warp on me at all times "just in case", or if I'm that lazy, hell I get a BLM friend to come D2 me

Also there's no way you would get banned for this. It's a completely legitimate activity anyone can do.

I don't have a job below 15. So I can't do this anyway.

But I find it incredibly hard to believe that you were banned for deathwarping on a level 1 job. People do that multiple times every day. It's not against any rules.

Warp Cheating... warp cheating?! From all the ban stories I've read, that's the first time I've heard of such a thing.

Yeah i dont know, i didnt think it was illegal, thats why for the past 2 days ive just been like what the.... didnt know what the heck warp cheating meant and still don't. I guess just bad luck for me and a mistake by them, but ill be playing again soon at least haha. Thx for replys and answering my question.

Yeah thats actually the thing that bothered me most haha, they should "Investigate" then "Suspend" not the other way around, but nothing i cant do about it anyways im out for the night, thx again for replys.

I don't see the bullshit in which you're referring to. Bloodporting a pretty easy habit to grow out of and really only something that people without outposts or BLM levelled to Warp access do. Again, I've not bloodported a job in ages - the need for that stops when you have Warp on BLM and now you can just grab that subjob from Selbina/Mhuara moogles, to boot.

But that is beside the point - bloodporting is not cheating. I have a feeling this guy did something other than bloodporting that got him a 72 hour ban. POS or Speedhacking would qualify for a 72 hour ban for first time offenders. Or maybe the guy just got reported falsely and the GM didn't check the facts behind what he did, it wouldn't be the first time that kind of thing had happened.
