I wasn't able to come to Dynamis on Sunday. If 3 Pants dropped in the Glacier (LMFAO like that'll happen this century), I wouldn't have been there, and it would have been tough noogies for me.

Exactly. The guy up for BLM body has missed it drop three times. It sucks to be him, it really does, but he knows that's what happens when you miss a run. Tough potatoes, sucks to be you, better luck next time.

Having someone dual box you to lot is pretty unfair and the leadership should really accept responsibility for letting that happen... I mean come on, if there's no rule for it then make it up at that point... I'm sure they were within their power to say no, you can't do that...

The way we do it in my LS is that we will allow you to log someone else on to lot for them but only if you're actually playing them. If you decide to bring both characters to dynamis, you can only lot on one of them. But if you see your leadership playing favorites to people, then you really should bring it up to the public eye so that everyone can see what's going on. If no one has a problem with it except you then maybe you don't belong in that LS.

As an officer in my own LS, I see it as a difficult task to find the fairest way to keep your members happy. Like giving an Osode to someone's BST that primarily plays WHM instead of a SAM that needs it for instance. That could be seen as unfair but really what do WHMs get from sky? or what has that WHM gotten lately compared to the SAM? making all members happy is just as important as gearing up people.

Well so far it has been determined that he deserved the piece. I'm not contesting that. He's been a member for a long time and he's put in work. I still would prefer that you SHOW UP to lot it, but with the last minute zone change (we were supposed to do Bastok) I can see how this sort of thing can happen.

I'm upset because it seems like it might turn into a regular occurrence. And further into a double standard. Where it's okay for some but not for all. I doubt if I had someone AFK me in Xarc I'd be allowed to get hat (not that I'm up for it but you know). After all is said and done, if they don't want to do away with people zoning in their friends to get drops (even if they've been in the LS forever and totally deserve it), then they should make a set of rules centered around it so that people know when it's okay and when it's not.

Unfortunately, probably what I want in terms of a potential rule change is not going to be what happens. I don't want to leave this shell because I actually like the people but I will if it comes down to something that I disagree with so adamantly.

Oh and then they got pissed at me for bringing it up on BG. (And I use the term "bringing it up" loosely in this case.) If you didn't see the thread, here read it please, and tell me when I brought up what happened to our particular ls. (I didn't.) The person who eventually brought it up is in my ls, but I didn't want it to be specific to this incident at all. I wasn't even trying to do that. No reason to do that, but I wanted opinions just in case I was missing something. People are pretty much split at BG too though. And my original post mentions nothing at all about the actual event in question.

But I got reprimanded and told to "please refrain from doing that again" when I didn't even fucking mention our linkshell or what happened. That pissed me off, too. Posting here I don't worry about so much. Not that many people come here.

I hate this. It might be time for me to move on again, and if I leave this LS I lose a sky/sea LS too, because I surely won't want to stick around. Will I ever find my home on Vana'diel?

I see where Aksannyi is coming from and I've seen various players take it to an even greater extreme than what she's describing.

I've known of people who passed around their account to get Sea Access, Northlands access and even to get lolTitles.

Sorry, these are things you earn yourself. You want to camp an NM drop for a friend, that doesn't affect me, that's fine and you can go do that. But it doesn't fly with me for bigger group activities. I want you there and I want you to know how you got there.

Had a guy in LBR LS try to get his friend promy wins as a birthday present. It was a nice thought, but I didn't let it fly since I was leading the run. I don't see cheating someone of an experience as a gift, all he was really doing was taking them out from being stuck on Promys to being stuck on Phomina Aquaducts.

Going back to the people getting Dynamis wins they didn't earn:

There's this one absolutely horrible PLD on Titan and leeched thier Dynamis wins and somehow got full Valor along the way. This ditz does nothing but spam Cure IV to tank and that obviously presents some issues.. I don't think they knew what Flash was. And the LS thought they were worth full Valor.

Ugh.

The lamest justifications I've heard for this sort of behavior in regards to Dynamis is "To gear up our members/Keep them on the same page."

It looks nice on paper, I'll give them that, but my opinion is you should still earn everything, every time you play regardless of the greater good of the LS.

My shell had a rule against 2boxing, but if the player being puppeteered wasn't that notable to begin with and the 2boxer is discreet, it's pretty hard in practice to enforce.

Now they think I'm butthurt because it was about the RDM body. It's unfair no matter what fucking job it is. He was allowed to lot over people that weren't there. How can anyone see that as right? Am I missing something?

I read it and you did nothing wrong. I've gotten the same song and dance from my ls too about this site. Frankly I don't give a flying fart. I'll post what I want to post and I keep it generic. If the few people that actually do know me and my ls read it, big whoopity do. Your situation is so much like mine recently. You have a complaints section, we are told to go to sacs with an issue, and both of us used these services and both of us got only attitude in return. I love the "lets all get along" "we are all friends" "lets talk about any issues" bullshit because thats all it is is bullshit. No one means it. What they actually mean is "we'll say everyone is 'family' or 'friends' but its all talk", "we are the leaders and you'll do what we say", and "say anything negative and you are on the shitlist". Time to move on for both of us it looks like.

Join an ls, let it out you're a girl, guys freak and ask for a pic, post as sexy of a pic as you can without looking like a slut (even though you probably are one), guys beg you to come talk to them on vent, get on vent and sweet talk and giggle, be oh so syrupy nice with a little bit of racey/naughty talk, and BING BANG BOOM you'll have them lined up.
