OMFG HELP...................again

ok starting to get a little bit stressed now, after having to buy anew live subscription because 2 years ago i deleted my ffxi adn cant remember any details. THIS HAPPENS....................
ok so installing everything, making my handle.... all is going well, then i decide to get my content id. as it got through to the last screen (one before payment) i clickpay then it waits for a minute then shows an error saying something like the server is busy, so i click retry and it takes me to another screen with a yellow hazard sign saying try again later.

Fair enough i figure, then i get an email in my PlayOnline inbox saying my subscription has been confirmed, so i go to my handle to "link" my content id and low and behold NOTHING IS THERE!!!

now im in a bit of a pickle, if i go to cancel content id it says there is nothing there, if i go to review content id it shows it up there. i figured it might be my card so i went to change payment options and it wont let me because theres an outstanding fee?

so to sum it up,
Am i going to get charged?
Should i try to put it through again?
and it says my free trial ended yesterday although i only put it on yesterday?
and of course WTF?

relax. expand your diaphragm and do this thing called breathing.

is this an old free trial? is the cc you used bogus? is this the same content id you used before? maybe theres a balance from the last time you played that you didnt pay.

hey man thanks for the reply, its ok. i think there was an error on their side because ive left it for 2 hours logged out and in again and my content id has appeared. think it just got delayed in the internet super highway somewhere.
now just gotta do a damn update ( 4 hours!!!!! ) oh well only 2 more to go.

I really need to relax a little bit.

lol yeah im ready, just signed into caitsith, with 2 work buddies and a 3rd to come. we got a Monk, White Mage (me), Black Mage and Warrior. that an ok party to start off with, or should i ask that in another section and another thread? just try and keep the acronyms down to a minimum lol

That's a pretty reasonably balanced party. Make sure everyone gets signet so that you get the extra xp bonus for a smaller party.

Just a heads up, levels 1-10 (and further depending on job and skill) tend to move quicker when one is solo exping. Not trying to discourage you from playing how you want and learning for yourself, but just some friendly advice.

In a party, the gross exp earned, as determined by the highest level job, is divided amongst the party members evenly. As for your group of 4, you'll have to seek out tough and very tough mobs to make earning exp as a group worthwhile instead of romping around murdering easy prey mobs solo. Try each situation and judge for yourself how you plan to proceed.

In the end though, after level 10-20ish, you'll be able to group for exp with much more desirable results. Good luck.

cool thanks man, i just get bored soloing especially as a white mage, 2night is guna be just me and the monk then saturday its all 4 of us but i want us to all get to the samel level 1st so im just going to heal them from behind while they solo up to level 3

I find when I went with WHM to level 10, I just got a melee charecter to beat up on even match and toughs, while keeping them alive, it makes it a whole lot smoother., Although WHM gets a decent hammer at lvl 5 that helps speed up the soloing IIRC.

Id suggest trying to not use magic unless you have to, the less downtime you have the faster you get to level 10. Although everyone develops their own brand of getting through there. (personally I just /COR go to town and it takes maybe 5 hours at the most.)
