Question on Registration Codes [EU/US]

I had a quick look for a similar thread but didn't find one, so here's my problem:

I bought FFXI Starter Pack in England, which is where I live. The starter pack comes with locked content for the first three expansions, which you can unlock by buying the keys for the games.

What i'm wondering is, if I get the expansions from the US will they still work for me? Or do I have to buy the expansions from Europe?

Usually I wouldn't mind, but if I get the codes from America then I get TOAU included rather than having to buy it seperately later.

No, you have to stay within the same region code-wise.

You have two options. Either buy expansions for your existing account from EU, or buy the base game and expansions (e.g. one of the Collections) in the US and start a new account using it.
