Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?
Before the update: Remora struggled to keep all three starting nations, losing Bastok on two separate occasions. Occasionally captured an area, and effectively lost it within a day of the tally.
After the update: San d'Oria has 6 areas, Windurst has 5, and Bastok has 3. So far signs are looking good that we will keep these areas.Wii Number - 2810 2423 4673 3261 - Please PM me if you add me!

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?
Things are pretty much as they were pre-update. Bastok had already crawled back to having some territories, now its just back to way it all was before the previous update.
Change it back, I like making fun of Bastok.
Also, I swear I hardly did any campaign in the last two weeks and it was still considered enough to reobtain my Mythril Wings of Service.

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?
I've written Campaign off. I don't care enough about it to constantly go there, and I hate that if I neglect it for too long I lose my rank. That's stupid. It's a big "fuck you" to the casual players, or the players like me who are too busy doing other shit to spend all their time in the past nations.
I'm over it.sigpic

Specially now that they actually lowered the requirements to keep/advance ranks.sigpic

Originally posted by Aksannyi View PostMaybe, I don't know. I don't care. Campaign stopped being fun a long time ago. I just don't enjoy it, and the rewards aren't worth keeping me in the [s] areas.
As for me, I have a (mostly) great time in campaign. RDM can do a lot there, sleep 1-2 mobs and maybe hold another one via melee, wrecking mob's advance like nobody's business.

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?
Maybe it's because they nerfed Enhancing XP, but now I end up getting the same amount of XP and notes every time. Which means I'm getting half the xp I used to get. Before, I would get a tag, fight for half an hour and get 2k+ xp and 1k+ notes. Now, I fight for half an hour and get 1k+ xp and notes.
And if that's the way is going to be from now on then it isn't worth my time anymore, and since I wont party either that means one of the few reasons I kept playing XI is gone.sigpic

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?
Well, on Midgardsormr, San d'Oria has made a huge post-update rebound, claiming East Ronfaure, Vunkerl Inlet, and Batallia Downs. By contrast, Windurst, which seemed to take a serverwide effort to maintain control of a single non-city zone (purely offensive, they always lost the zone they claimed the previous week) pre-update, claimed Meriphataud and Sauromugue, and Bastok, who managed to break out of city battles to claim Grauberg just before the update, took Rolanberry Fields and Pashhow Marshlands. This may speak somewhat to the rather concerted effort in the last several weeks to focus effort on maximizing offensive potential on particular target zones, combined with the influence-gaining potential granted to underdogs post-update.
Midgardsormr has become one of the smaller servers and it doesn't seem sometimes like we're capable of mustering the kind of campaign force SE envisioned, but several of those who are involved have been increasingly organizing their efforts. On the plus side are campaign LSs, people rallying toward efforts like killing off defending units even when there isn't a campaign battle going on or performing regular sabotage of Beastmen supply lines even when not on the Search and Seizure op, and even one JP who tracks the intel reports closely enough to be able to announce via /shout when battles will start and allied and enemy units will arive. On the down side is national consolidation: Those who stuck with Bastok and San d'Oria are a distinct minority; most campaign participants decided to switch to Windurst in order to have more of a chance to properly defend at least one nation. Perhaps with this update we'll see more people move back to Bastok and San d'Oria, but I suspect Windurst will continue to see the largest backing overall.Kumei, pickpocket of Midgardsormr(Bastok Rank 10)
