on Siren, Windurst and Bastok are keeping the beastmen from taking the cities, but barely. Sandy ahs kept ahold of Batallia and Ronfaure.

Oh, one more thing I just thought of.

For those servers that are under attack in the cities, just remember: there are no pixies or sprites to save you in the cities.

        Fenrir got crushed as well.

Only territories barring the 3 cities owned by nations is Jugner Forest and East Ronfaure, both held by Sandy.

You don't get auto-tagged in the cities, but I'm guessing it's always more than one wave. I've been in 3 'sieges' of Windurst Waters... one with 2 waves, one with 3, the last one I was in had 5 waves

There was also 5 NPC units, but only two were fighting because the others were stationed away from the main battle zones...

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?

Midgard typically gained and lost the areas in the Jeuno-surrounding regions more or less weekly before the update, consistently held the regions immediately adjacent to the cities, and the zone in between for each was less predictable. Last week was one of our "high" weeks, with most regions controlled by us. This week, though, WOW. Everything we had but the cities was lost, and all we gained in return was Meriphitaud. We're getting city sieges too -- Dark Kindred city sieges. Really puts a damper on many of the "safe" ops, I should note.

Speaking of ops, by the end of last week most of our ops had been driven down to one star; even the ones requiring actual risk or serious time investment tended to be down to at most two, at least in Bastok. Only the ones requiring multiple members had five stars. I also note that Lunaryn observed that this appears to be based entirely on popularity and not at all on "need" like SE claimed; Windy's supplies in each of its controlled zones were critically low, yet the star rating for Vanguard-X was low due to its popularity in Windy. Like Taskmage said, I think they've overcompensated -- in multiple ways at once. Throw ZNMs to distract the 75s from battles that 60s can't hold by themselves anymore on top of that, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Concerning increase in difficulty... let's just say that I could land ele enfeebles on regular Campaign mobs consistently with a BLM49 before the update, and I can almost never land them at that level now. Did SE not like that people of many levels could participate in Campaign? Did they forget their statement that they wanted to let people feel like they made more of an individual difference in Campaign than in Besieged? -- Pteryx

It's a balancing act. This is a war that the allied nations were losing until something happened. Campaign mobs did seem pretty easy before.

            Anyway, on Kujata:

            San d'Oria: 2
            Bastok: 2
            Windurst: 1
            Beastmen: 16

I had thought it got harder, but not that hard.

I'll grant you that at release Campaign was way too easy to the point of being a joke. But I thought they had the balance mostly right after the previous update -- we'd gain regions, we'd lose regions, we'd live, we'd die, we'd get one-shotted while weakened. I'm not sure why SE seemed to think it needed to be harder in general; if anything, they just needed to make battles where we were on the offense riskier. It's clear that now they need to scale back a few factors. Harder than it was last update I can deal with as long as it's easier than this. -- Pteryx

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?

It might have been different on other servers, but really it was sort of rare for a nation on Kujata to loose more then one or two zones.

Personally I think a the actual campaign battles feel more epic now, which is more fun. I always go as RDM, so I don't really know how it affected jobs under 75 though.

Who knows... SE could just use an excuse about making it harder for the storyline, and then having that "something" happen that makes it a tad easier on the next update.

Re: So... who got owned thisweek in Campaign?

My major problem with campaign currently is the beastmen are stronger, smarter, and come in more numbers with additional healing support while our NPCs are dumber, weaker, come one group at a time and have NPC healers who come and go in 10 minutes.

And the city battles, at least on Cerby right now, are ridiculous because, again, the allied NPCs are borderline useless. Most units pop in the farthest corners of the zone and just stand there. The only way to get them involved is to drag the mobs to them. Assuming they actually show up that is. We got no less then six messeges saying NPCs were coming to help, but only one unit showed up and only at the end of the fight

And on top of that, the NPC healers seem to broken somehow because all I get from em is Pro/Shell IV and cure I.

I don't mind difficult fights, but this is ridiculous.

It seems to be SE's way of doing things: something's too easy for their liking, they could do A, B, or C to likely fix the problem ... so they do all three and REALLY get the players!

Crimson Domino is the resource-replenishing op, not that Vanguard-X was in much better shape.
