Regarding Approved Graphics Cards
NVIDIA, AMD (ATI), and our development team have cooperated to test various graphics cards. FINAL FANTASY XI on Windows has been tested to run on the video cards listed below (results as of May 26, 2008).
Approved Cards and Drivers (As of May 26, 2008)
The numbers between the parentheses refer to the driver version used for the testing. NVIDIA's GeForce 7300 series and AMD's (ATI) RADEON X300 series and up, only PCI-Express cards have been tested. DirectX 9.0c is required for Geforce6 series and up. Please visit your graphics card manufacturer's web site for all driver software downloads. The Operating System used for compatibility testing is Microsoft Windows 2000/ XP 32bit/Vista 32bit and FINAL FANTASY XI full screen mode. (Confirmed with NVIDIA GeForce 8 series, AMD (ATI) RADEON X1000 series or later on Windows XP/Vista)

Steps to disable the Bump Mapping setting for Windows
PlayOnline Config or FINAL FANTASY XI Config cannot be changed while PlayOnline Viewer or FINAL FANTASY XI is running.

• We are currently in the process of testing other products.
• Regarding FINAL FANTASY XI official website (PC Information), chipsets for laptop computers like Mobility Radeon 9000, GeForce FX5600 GO and nForce2 IGP series are confirmed to be working through cooperative testing with certain manufacturers, but the testing results do not include standalone chipsets and are thus not supported.
• There is a possibility that it will not work correctly depending on the Windows PC parts used. We ask that the users be responsible for acquiring and applying the appropriate software drivers.
• The test results above are from May 2008. Please note that there are certain graphics cards or drivers that do not work correctly as listed above.
• If you have an OEM, please install the drivers prepared by the manufacturer.

- “Start†→ “All Programs†→ “PlayOnline†→ “FINAL FANTASY XI†→ “FINAL FANTASY XI Configâ€
- Click the “Effects†tab and uncheck the box that says “Enable bump mapping†and click “OKâ€.
- A pop-up window should appear saying “Save Settings?†click “Yes.â€
