After a Long Absense form FFXI. Iv decided its a good idea to come back at least for the summer . Iv Decided to get a brand new start by buying the Vana'diel Collection that a bought in september accept iv decided to open it. Just One quick Newbish question. What would be the best place to start a question and what has the best reward for a newb player. Thanks guys

And Btw what's a good starting job?

Best place to start in my own opinion would be Sandy, best reward? couldnt tell you. Best starting job for me was WAR until 18 then MNK until 30

Thanks guys and i have another problem. I was installing pol and i got it installed and stuff and since i have windows vista pol didnt run so i had to dl it and install it then another problem saying i dont have FFXI installed so i put the disk in
and it tells me that i have to uninstall pol. What do i do

Honestly man, I have Final playing on a Vista pc and a Windows XP pc and Vista is downright horrendous to run FFXI on. They released a POL viewer for Vista but even with that, you get unexpected errors and often, Vista users have issues with Frame lag within the game itself. Even IF you have a spectacular video card =\ Best advice to remove Vista and go with XP. If you cant do that and must run on Vista, completely remove FFXI from your HDD and re-install the Vista version of POL Viewer. Then proceed to re-install FFXI w/o installing the older version of POL Viewer. I might be way off here but hopefully you get it working.

If you are running nVidia, you can get the latest drivers and it'll fix the frame rate issue. At least it did with a few friends and their 8xxx cards. (On Vista I mean)

I did what juiced said and now its all working accept for FFXI its self and its 7 hour update so i guess ill be playing tommorow.
