You agree to read the rules when you log in. You obviously broke that agreement, why should we believe you didn't break other ones?

People need to understand that the people on the phone/chat and the GM are two completely different departments.


and dont get mad that the representative implies that your guilty, for all they know you are. In their head "you are suspended you must have done something" this is a standard thought.

Wether you did something or not, you are just going to have to wait till Friday at 2 a.m.

Log in and talk CALMLY to the GM, thing I hate the most (when I worked for a cable companies billing) was people calling in all bitchy, because their service was terminated (and they missed their last 2 payments)

Talking nicely and calm to the GM will get you better results then being an ass to them.

This is something I was aware of, but I was under the impression that he couldn't actually get into POL far enough to get to a GM. My misunderstanding, then.

Then I'm pretty sure that would be a glitch. Everytime I've heard of someone being banned, they can get into POL, but not FFXI.

ok, its official, i cannot get in touch with a GM. i have to log onto PoL. I am at the point where i put in my PoL ID and password, it starts to connect, verifies my info, then gives me LM 17

If you read the ToS, there are a few clauses that mention you own nothing related to your character, and that SE reserves the right to investigate, suspend, and/or terminate your account without any notification or reason.

Do they normally terminate the account of legit players that follow the rules? I doubt it, but that doesn't mean they cannot do it.

Not at all. That's just the argument the OP has presented in his rebuttal of SE's decision.

Sure, they can do it ... but it's a potential PR problem for them. Besides, it's horrible that you can only protest any suspension after the fact, since you can't get in touch with the people you need to until after the fact.

that is exactly why i am upset.

you are right, i dont own my character, but i do pay my money for a service from a company, SE. if they charge me for June and they do not render that service, i can sue legally, but im not upset at the legalities. if we wanted the legality part, i can prove i did not buy anything in the game with real money to a 3rd party, i can use financial records, i can go to court have a polygraph (whether they work or not), etc. im upset because of the customer support being this bad. I work at a collection lawfirm. we have angry people because we sued them, put a lien on them, harassed them, etc, but that is one thing vs say just suing them for whatever reason we want to, and then having them lead around in circles...

Sorry, but no. SE has made it incredibly clear that that won't be happening, and you agreed to it. SE can ban you any time they want, for any reason, and you can't stop them from doing it. The same goes for pretty much every MMO owner out there.

i was stating that if they continue charging me and i am banned, then, yes, i can sue
