what to do at end game?

i was curious what is there to do after ur 75? like end game raiding? cuz there doesnt seem to be much to do. i am not lvl 75 in fact im not even level one yet xD. however i never hear any one talk about it. i just left world of warcraft and was wondering if there are alot of end game dungeons or something to do here. and if there are whats the point of them? i know in WoW its mainly for the gear. but all i see is pictures of AF armor and if im not mistaken u can get that stuff in your 50's? just curious if some one can give me some insight on what to look forward to.

Yeah, in fact some people talk about it too much.

But there is loads to do at endgame, and it is mostly about the gear. There are at least two endgame activities from each expansion, except WoTG, but they just haven't released WoTG endgame yet. If you're up for endgame, you can pretty much do it 24/7.

FYI, just getting to Lv.75 is a long road for most people on the first trip.

Alot of the really good items come from HNM, which in an of itself can be difficult to get in and for some too much of a commitment to stick with.

Dynamis and Limbus are easy 2 day a week events, and tend to be alot of fun with a good group, of course theres so many missions and quests on your way it could be a solid 3-6 months before you even get to some things, but its all good times, so come play :D

Thank god this isnt like WoW in that it takes a day (exaggeration) to get to the highest level. There is more to s=do endgame in FFXI than in WoW. Enjoy your time in FFXI! As a side note: If you haven't created your character yet, then you can come to Unicorn and will be more than welcome in my linkshell if you need!

Really, it is what you make of it. There are some people who devote a lot of time to various activities, to try to get a lot of good things. There are some people who mainly focus on maxing out merits. There are others who just lie back and do whatever comes up. I've had friends range from the "if I'm logged on, I'm busy", to the "meh, just sitting around Whitegate talking to people". If you're looking for huge battles with great gear rewards, FFXI has that; if you're looking for pickup and go, FFXI has that too. Soloing options also open up a bit more, although it's still not really great if you're not on a solo friendly job.

You forgot to mention the pointless penis measuring contests. The "I have 150% haste and +300 damage gear!" melees who last all of 5 seconds once they're equipped because they have no DEF and there isn't a PLD alive who can keep hate off them. Min/maxers are probably the most annoying element of endgame. Right now I'm trying to convince some fellow Taru SMNs that all mp merits are probably a bad idea... we last so incredibly long once the Tail Sweeps and Meteors start falling...
