Pre-paid cards?

I took a look at some older threads and I'm guessing that there are pre-paid cards for FFXI?

I'm kinda getting this urge to start playing again but I don't have a credit card or anything to pay for it. So I was wondering if I could get a pre-paid card and maybe play for a couple of months and then cancel my subscription.

I'm hoping to get a job for the summer and then maybe I can pay for it myself. Right now I only have enough money for one month...

Also, what is the server with the most people on it? What's the best town to start in? Or does it really matter? Should I just choose a town according to my race?

No there are no prepaid cards specially for FFXI. There are however pre-paid VISA cards around that would work.

In short, if it has a VISA or MasterCard logo on it it will work, if not, it won't.

So it's basically the same thing except the pre-paid visa/mastercard could be used to buy anything? I guess that works just as well

Yes, however I have no idea where you'd find them.

I think places like walgreens and some gas stations carry them.

Well I hope I have some where I live...

Edit: Is there a place on the playonline viewer thing to put in codes for the cards? Because it would be somewhat pointless for me to buy one and not beable to use it...

Edit: Is it also possible to make it to automaticly cancel my account once I paid for one month?

You would enter it under billing information, just like you would if using a normal credit or debit card.

You can cancel billing on your content IDs after paying for one month, yes. You do that through the Content ID menu.
