UK/EU release of FFXI 2008 edition

The Uk release of FFXI 2008 Edition which includes all 4 expansion packs and updates (handy if you have to reinstall) is on sale from 23rd May 2008 (this Friday coming)

Amazon are selling it for:-

The pc version includes a free 30 day guest pass for a friend but not the xbox version.

Typically we are paying over the odds for it here in rip off britian with you yanks paying $29.99 for the same thing (£15.31) thats nearly £10 (or $19) less grrrrrrrr.

I wonder how many people buy it and install it on the 23rd only to have S-E nail them in the ass for 8 days subscription before billing them again on the 1st.

I don't know if the term Yanks is a derogatory one now by the way, I personally try to not use it in the same way I wouldn't expect to be called a Limey.

I don't really think any Americans find the term "yank" to be offensive in any way. Heck, we have a baseball team here with the name (the New York Yankees).

Many Americans in and around New England used to call themselves Yankees to differentiate themselves from those from the South, the Midwest, or the Western states. It's not as prevalent, I imagine, but It's really not considered derogatory at all.

yeah, the only people who'd find the term Yank or Yankee offensive are the ones that don't particularly enjoy being here.

Pretty sure the free trial is 30 days, regardless of when you start. Restarting is when you get charged like that.

Ya I have several friends "across the pond" that have me buy stuff (games included) to save money and get it faster. One guy in Norway used to have me pick up used games like crazy and then he'd sell them at meets over there and rake in the dough. LOL Ya you guys get the dang shaft thats for sure.
