I got my N hand abj last week so I thought I'd fish up my own angel skin. Firstly I was fishing on my 75 war, I pulled it a few times but never got drop and my war would get pretty beat down after a few mobs and I'd have to /heal for awhile, it got pretty annoying.
So I hit 74 on my rdm, grabbed my joytoy and some eva gear and ran out to Kuftal. So far, I haven't fished it up once. Here's the weird thing:
When I get a particularly hard fish (either hard pug or manta is my guess from past experience), I get it down, reel it in and get a message along the lines of:
"You don't have enough skill to reel this in."
Now by all accounts I've heard you need no skill for manta, and I have fished it up with no skill on war. So please can someone clarify to me, am I somehow gimping my manta catches on rdm? I'm really confused.

A thf ran along and filled me in. Apparently I keep fishing up a cave cherax or something, 50+ skill needed :]
