Haven't posted in a week, here's how I'm doing.

I'm a WAR 23, MNK 15. I'm taking WAR to 30 and going DRG. I'm Rank 3 San d'Oria and I have a reputation of noob status (only 2 lol). Rockin' the Neckchopper with full set of Beetle Armor with Beetle Earring +1 x2 accompanied with Courage Ring +1 x2. Got a Night Cape, Warrior Belt +1, Spike Necklace. I also have a Power Bow +1, even though I miss every shot with it lmao. So thanks to your guy's advice, I'm doing very well, with some help from my friends Jammer, Jerlax, Mudfly, Cascade, Alucuard, Darkabyss, and Farflong, who kindly let me into their endgame link shell Shattered Chains.

Sounds like you're doing really good. Your gear is awesome and that axe would be my choice at your level and even a bunch beyond it. ^^ Seems like you're all set in gears untill Dragoon. There might be a few improvements in gear in a few levels, but I wouldn't bother with it just to get to level 30, your current set is great.

I second the suggestion of keeping a blog, although I personally wouldn't recommend livejournal (I've just never liked their format and look).
