PlayOnline Membership and Service Agreement Updates



We have updated certain sections of the various agreements that govern your PlayOnline membership and use of the various PlayOnline services. They are:

- PlayOnline and Tetra Master Software License Agreement
- FINAL FANTASY XI Software License Agreement
- PlayOnline Member Agreement
- FINAL FANTASY XI User Agreement
- Tetra Master User Agreement

The purpose of these updates is to clarify the terms and conditions governing our relationship. Upon logging into the PlayOnline Viewer after the version update, you will be prompted with the agreements page. Before using any of the PlayOnline services, we strongly encourage you to review the agreements, policies, and guidelines and understand the terms and conditions. You should note that, by maintaining your PlayOnline membership and using the various PlayOnline services, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understood, and accept the terms and conditions set forth in the updated agreements, policies, and guidelines.

You can refer to these agreements, policies, and guidelines at anytime by going to the "Rules & Policies" section of the FINAL FANTASY XI and Tetra Master top pages or the "Rules & Policies" sections within the PlayOnline Viewer. They are also available in the "Service & Support" section of PlayOnline.com.

When sevv gets banned a new gm will be born, well that and ill take my revenge out on the D&D community by mass banning of all 12 of their players.

Corerct me if i'm wrong but after I read it my understanding was that SEI owns not only our computer but software, hardware and me while I'm playing FFXI.

I totally spaced on copy and pasting the new agreement while i was reading it. I'm sure someone has pasted it somewhere. I'll try and find it.

Personally I liked this part of the prohibited activities on XI:

Any activities consisting of selling, purchasing, or exchanging, "gil" (or any other in-Game currency), accounts, characters, "a player's time and effort spent playing the Game," or Game items, for value (such as real currency) by any method, including, Internet auctions or other online exchanges;

I really hope they can get those damn RMTs once and for all.

It's not even RMT selling characters anymore, (well okay they still do but you can tell not just RMT doing it) just look on eBay. But now that they've closed one loophole, people will find another.

I haven't seen any post so far that nailed down the differences. Every time someone thinks a section of it is new, there's at least one other person that says it was there before.
