  • Any requirements for WoTG stuff?

Hey, are there any requirements for accessing the WoTG areas or quests?

Reason I ask is because the allied warp system and the maws would be great for running my mule to Jeuno and back to Sandy.

Plus, I remember hearing something about doing quests for other nations changing your allegiance in the past, so I was toying with the idea of getting the new gobbie bag quest items with my mule.

Of course, I should probably ask if that was true and not just some bug in the game or something because it seems odd that doing another nation's quest in the past would change your allegiance.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

I don't have a big ego, it just has a large mouth.

I don't think there are requirements, since RMT were creating characters to san'd~ and doing those death/angel stone quests at a very low level. This was recently changed, but that's about it really.

But to use the warp system you need allied notes. Unless you're planning to do campaign ops and such to get them, you'll be quite short. The easiest way would still be running back and forth (homepoint @ Jueno, grab a tele-crystal so you can always teleport there and be half way there).

In any nation, it is easy to warp to Rolanberry Fields [S], from which it is only a short walk to the maw. The problem is, as mentioned earlier, you need Allied Notes in order to teleport. You can not campaign to any effect as a level one character. At most, you will walk away with ~50 Allied Notes for a half-hour's work. That will last one one teleport. You will have to do Campaign Ops then, and unless you have a craft leveled the only one you can do is Streetsweeper, running around looking for Suspicious Objects, which will take you about 15 minutes for 500 Allied Notes. So in short, you can do it, but not effectively.

If you're good at avoiding aggro you could do Stock and Awe. Anyone who can buy crystals on the AH can do Materiel Storm.

The main obstacle would be that you have to enter from a near-Jeuno maw the first time, and then you have to activate other maws from the past side, which means walking through every intermediate zone in the past.

Another alternative you might consider is soloing to 20 and getting a chocobo license. You can farm at the same time and once you're done you won't need AN to chocobo back and forth.
