Even if SE was able to alter days like that, so that it's consistently iceday or thundersday, I don't consider that a strategy. It's for the sake of the black mages, for sure. For the rest of us though, we can't alter time so that it's consistently Thundersday. <.>

For the day time-regression thing... I wouldn't put too much thought into worrying about it. They probably had 3-4 hours of footage, lopped it into bits, went through a process wherein they were deciding which sections to show... just got one of their sections out of order.

I guess....that's a really long fight though. <.> I don't think 5 minutes of footage is representative of a very long fight.

What I'm guessing from the video is that when AV two hours, any casting job 2 hours at the same time. Now if this is the case, that would stop AV from using those jobs that 2 houred with him from using it himself. At least thats what I think.

Either they fought AV for 12 straight hours, or they died multiple times on multiple attempts to beat AV. Why they couldn't post just one video is a wonder to me.

Maybe they edited it out of order or spliced together several fights to show us shit that mattered instead of 5 hours of bs we already knew about.

*If you're friendly and assume one of those 22 was the person in first person view recording the whole thing (note that he never actually targetted AV, so we don't know which order the sections should be in), then there's probably another person standing next to him running JP client for their version of the video... (in fact, maybe someone should hit the jp site and see if they got a movie too, or if they got a different movie, etc) so that puts us down to 20 people. Sucks to be the 2 who didn't get the title.

There is an EN, JP and EU (German) version of the video. They each have different logs but essentially show the same things.

At no point did they say they were going to create a walkthrough. They said they would take a video of them killing AV and they did. At best I would expect some hints that result in some real solid testing which is exactly what it looks like we're getting. This is SE afterall, they rarely just hand us information. Even the Goblin Drink recipe had a few hints thrown out before they finally just gave up on us and gave us the recipe. They want us to figure this stuff out on our own for the most part and I applaud them for it.

All right then, but AV is no less of a mystery to me now than it was before the video, I expected at least a few things to change how I saw the fight, all I see is a group of people fighting a mob like usual, nothing major except the multiple use of 2hrs, which only implies that it's a long fight.

Which ... well, duh.

I didn't want just a 5 minute peep at killing AV, I wanted to see a good portion of it, if not the whole thing.

I don't know, this just isn't what I expected.
