hey everyone

had to miss out on a pt the other day cause i dont have the altep tele crystal

main reason being i dont know how to get there

i thinik its near bastok region but i dont have the 500000 gil to get a pass.

so im gonna have to ride there i guess

so im wondering what the fastest route is?

Why would you need 500k?

If you get to Valkrum Dunes, just head south to Konschtat, south to North Gustaberg, south again to South Gustaberg, and then east to Bastok.

From there you can go to Korroloka Tunnel, which ends in Altep.

My recommendation? Use maps.

Also, don't buy the airship pass for 500k. You get it for free after getting rank 6 in your nation missions.

If you want a good reference for maps, visit ffxi atlas, or ffxiclopedia. Both are really handy if you need to know a route, or just a location of something in general.

I blame this new IE update. External links don't seem to work anymore, also freezes up all other internet pages sometimes forcing me to restart my computer.

I hate how this is the garden variety answer to anyone who says anything about their browser, and mentions that they're using IE.

IE is not that terrible. Some people choose to use it the same as some people choose to use Firefox. It's a personal preference, is it not? Is it affecting you if someone uses IE instead of Firefox? No? Then why do you care?

Just really annoys me.

EDIT: To un-derail this thread any further, my advice to the OP is to maybe find a group of people who need it and try to navigate it together. Even better if you can find a high level to help you in case of aggro. (The more people you bring, the higher chance this will happen, however, if you have at least one other person with you, you might get a raise not have to completely start over.)

Bring silent oils and prism powders. You will need sneak and invis throughout the entire tunnel, and you will need invis through most of the desert, though if you're crafty you can avoid the sound aggro on the way to the crystal.

No one told him he was wrong in choosing to use IE, but he was complaining about it not working (go figure) and we recommended another browser. You're right, everyone has the choice to use whatever they want, but if you consciously choose to use an inferior application, you haven't much ground to stand on when you bitch about it.

Odds are your browser has some tagalone application if it's having trouble with links goto Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com and search for hijackthis. It strips associations to your browser. (Both malicious ones as well as chosen ones like google toolbar)

As always careful what you download.
