Has anyone looked into a program called Bufferzone Pro? I wonder if that would potentially catch the iFrame Buffer Trojan?

That too, but there is also a related IE6 bug that has been patched for some time that is also being exploited.

No matter how up to date you are there is always the newest virus. Keeping up to date does improve your odds of avoiding trouble though.

The majority of exploits in recent years have been on already patched vulnerabilities. The actual exploiting apps are often written using the information from the vendor on what was fixed.

You can get stuff using firefox and regular virus scans it isn't just IE users that get hit.
Just a question of what you run into.
