  • Compaign Evaluations

So, since nobody else has seemed to bring this up, are there any clues as to what exactly one must do to achieve a successful campaign evaluation?

Right now I have a Mythril Star ∮∮∮, and I've been getting successful evaluations every time, mostly by just doing campaign ops (of which I have only failed one, a Supply Manufacture one, because I slipped and hit the wrong option). However, I just used all the credits I had, and I'm still not passing my evaluation (though, he's not directly taking away my current one, either).

I remember reading at one point that it may be directly linked to how many notes you have (I have just under 45k, 44750 to be exact). It's certainly worth looking into, and meanwhile I'll be doing some campaign battles to try to level my pup and get my next badge.

    According to the wiki:

Note: It takes exactly 5000 experience/limit point to earn a new promotion through campaign battles. (Verification -desperately- required, promotions have occured at less than half that, and it seems more likely to rely on Allied Notes acquisition than EXP)
Note to the note: It took around 23k Limits through campaign battle to be allowed to rank up after 27 days of inactivity on FF. I was checking every 2k for a rank up.
Anybody have anything that might prove useful to confirming/disconfirming this? I just looked through, and I've gotten 4200 notes since my last evaluation. When I hit 5000, I'll post again or edit this saying if I got the new medal or not.

Al i know is that ribbon >> stay is one HELL of a jump.

doing a couple of the synthesys op's and a couple battles got me up to the top ribbon, but it took me 5 trys to get the damned star, at the end i just used up all my op credits and did about 10 battles before i got my rrank up.

It wasn't that bad for me -- As I said, I pretty much jumped straight to where I am now, once I found the evaluation NPC (took me a week or two). But, then again, around that time I was also doing a LOT of battles to try to get my BRD up to 75, which I did, and I've since eased off that a lot so I could concentrate more on parties with my PUP.

I think its broken. The NPc says if you fail and accecppt yuor current rank you loose all work towards your next medal but you get a new 30 day extrntion.

I never choose that, so according to him i keep my work so far. If that was so it wouldn't have taken me about 9 op's and god knows how many battles to pass.

There's a thread over at BG that explains it in detail

It's based on how much EXP and AN you earn from Ops and Battles. Even though they say higher ranking Ops give more, personally I find Ops contributed jack-shit to your evaluations putting huge emphasis on battles.
