    Quick question here.

    I never really noticed this until a few days ago when I stepped out of my mog house in Bastok Markets[S] as DRG and was greeted by my wyvern. Cool!

    Since when was everyone allowed to have their pets out in the cities now?
    And is this something only available in the WoTG expansion, or can you do this in 'ALL' the cities now, including the inner cities from the present too?

    I know theres nothing to battle with while your pet is out, but I think it's a really cool idea anyway.... just because I like to show off my wyvern around the city. Hehe...

    It's only for specific locations. If you've ever been to Whitegate you will notice that you cannot summon a pet there, but if you zone into Al Zahbi you will be able to. This is because Besieged takes place in Al Zahbi. Similar battles can also take place in locations such as Bastok Markets [S] which is why you were able to summon your wyvern.

      You can only have them in places where you fight. If beastmen take control of the areas near the cities they can attack the cities themselves, similar to besieged.

            Only if the Quadav take over Gustaberg [S]. Then they are able to attack Bastok like a normal Campaign.

              Ahh.... so if Quadev's are the beastmen for Bastok, then Orcs (including goblins, though I'm not too sure about them) are the beastmen for Sand O 'Oria, and the Yagudo are the beastmen for Windurst I presume?

              I'm Sorry to say that. Yes.... I DO know it. It's just not something I have always concentrated on as part of the stories in and around Vana 'diel I guess.

              ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
              I never actually knew that beastmen types could actually appear inside any of the inner cities around Vana 'diel. I have never once taken part in a Beseiged battle either. (I Presume that's for players somewhere about level 60 and over)

              I'm a little surprised about the whole beastmen inside the cities thing, and I guess that I would maybe hope to see this happen if I ever manage to find them.

              Well... I'm glad I know the answer to my first post now.
              Thanks.

                  Let me just take this opportunity to say: I hate it when players keep pets out in cities when there's no battle going on.

                    Why?

                    And:

                    Orcs = San D' Oria
                    Yagudo = Windurst
                    Quadav = Bastok

                    Goblins have no affiliation, and are actually(and very accurately) described by SE themselves as "nomads", with only the Moblins ever making any sort of society.

                        Cuz a crowded AH is that much harder to target when a Wyvern/Automaton/Avatar/Jug Pet gets in the way of F8.

                            It's been there from the beginning, but players are so zealous about Campaign that the beastmen aren't having too easy of a time even getting to the cities, much less attack them. If the beastmen ever get to the point that they can attack the main cities, you can bet it'll happen.

                              That can only happen in the Expansion Cities or Al Zhabi so don't get too worried over it. You won't be seeing any beastmen marching through Bastok Mines or North Sandy in the present times...except for halloween.

                              There's a reason why there are Goblin Footprints everywhere, Goblins get around.

                              ...they also go to the highest bidder

                              It's been in the expansion since day 1. But as stated, very rarely have the Beastmen been able to control a neighboring zone. The three 'starter' areas are very fiercly defended. Though, I do believe some cities were attacked in the second week of the expansion.

                              There's only one AH where that situation could ever take place and half the time it's not even working...
