So it COULD be safe.. that's fine, but what about other sites? FFXIAH still ok? Aala? Killingifrit? Any news on those? Any dangers i should be knowing of?
Allakhazam used to be owned by a company which also owned RMT operations. Now, it's ownership is some sort of secret the site admins cannot reveal. That said, I've seen far more RMT advertisement on this site compared to Allakhazam--which is at 0.
Allakhazam is at least equally famous for moronic flame wars--not sure if it's more or less than Killing Ifrit, though. Of course, it's not like this site has no flame wars with petty name calling. (The moderator team on Dreams is superbly active, in comparison to the laissez-faire attitude there. Definitely a plus for coming to this site.)
The opinions against Allakhazam is so strong I wonder if the Allak-bashers here would ever acknowledge the contributions made by many of the posters on that site.

Basically, it's prejudice.

yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water. - Mugaku
The best thing about Alla is that you can comment heavily on database items. There's a lot of garbage and name calling to sift through a lot of times, but sometimes you actually get a little gem of wisdom especially with respect to successful setups and strategies for various xNMs, drop rates (though most people who post about drops are complaining that they've gone 182 times without a drop), and all sorts of other information that other sites just don't have. It's not a bad place. I think most people who make fun of it actually use it in secret. Now, KI on the other hand I haven't found terribly useful. It's difficult to search and quite a bit of the threads are just drawn out flame sessions. Since the data isn't linked to database entries it can become quickly lost, but still there yet remains a few tidbits of wisdom there though I've only rarely seen anyone quote or reference a KI thread.
