    New Year Resolution!

    Hey everyone! New years is almost here, have any new goals or things you want to start/quit doing on ffxi or in real life? :D

    Edit: My New Year's Resolution is to stop procrastinating (sp?) and help out my pops more irl.

    We all know resolutions end up in smoke within a few days usually. So here's one:
    - Play less FFXI.

    I predict I will break this resolution by at least early evening on New Years Day.

              Me and my wife are gonna try and quit smoking ciggs again. We quit once for like a year but started back up again.

              And play more FFXI!

                Lose enough weight (again) to look good in a tux so I can make a respectable best man later in the year.

                  I don't know about the rest, but the Kendo one is very possible, once you start you can never go back.

                    One I made last year that I've kept all year long:
                    one mile on the treadmill for every hour of game time..
                    worked for me, lost 50 pounds this year and keeping it off,
                    and I'm an old guy.

                          I don't usually make New Year's resolutions. But Starving Artist's Kendo reminded me that I should really look towards taking up a Martial Art. Maybe Shokodan Aikido or Hapkido.

                            Speaking of Kendo, I've always been interested in Kendo, Fencing, Archery and Marksmanship.

                            Never got to try any of them ; ;

                              Archery is my life. However, don't just buy a bow off e-bay or whatever and start shooting it. Guaranteed you'll do it the wrong way and put your muscles under extreme pressures and end up permanently hurting yourself. Best way is to get down to the local range and ask there about it. And please, PLEASE, use a traditional bow. I coach a wide variety of people and every time i see someone coming for a lesson with a carbon-fibre bow my soul sheds a tear.
