  • stupid lame newbie farming question

ok I'm 74 thf thanks to the expansion monsters and some bad sneaking(no pixes or help that day blech!) but I'm sure I can do better than a few tigers...most of my tiger camps are overrun by legit players doing the same thing I am: making gill

The lame qustion of the day is what else is there worth grabbibg for decent amounts of gill?(and I ain't taling BCMNs)

Depends on what crafts you have leveled. I prefer to hunt stuff I can turn into finished goods. Maze of Shakrami with crawlers for silk thread or turn it into silk cloth if your clothcraft is about 60. Slaughter sheep for sheepskin to be turned into sheep leather skill 1 (1 dark crystal, 1 Windurst tea leaves, 1 distilled water, 1 sheepskin). If your a 74 thief stealing gold beastcoins I've heard is good, but my thief isn't high enough to verify yet. I do make out deciently on silver beastcoins however and hope to move on to Mythril once I level my thief a bit higher.

I made a fair amount mining in out of the way zones and each time my steal counter was up I'ld grab a beastman, gearswap out of mining gear, sneak attack, steal silver beastcoin and desynth the helms and armor I got then re-swap back to mining gear and continue making ingots.

Lady Bug wings. They're 12k a stack on the Kujata AH, and 9k a stack at the quest NPC. It's been fair money so far, but I think the demand will run out soon unless it comes to be some simple crafting level-up recipe.

          I believe they're used in a 66 bonecraft synth

2 wings + wind crystal = Ladybug Ring

Or that's according to the FFXI wiki anyway.

I'm trying to slowly work up the gill for two items and I may have added a third one to the list:

            Dragon Harness- 350K

            Harpe- 500K

I probabaly need more ACC+ gear from my THF/war plan so:

Woodsman's Ring- 150K (I'm not sure what else to grab except stuff I have)

With Tigers I can do 8-12K and hour if I'm not distrubed by another player but I need something I can do ok with and maybe get from my 150K now up to at last getting a dragon harness in a couple of weeks....

With a level 75 THF, you could probably do better than 8-12K/hour in the NW corner of the Pashhow Marshlands killing leeches, crawlers, bees, and elementals... IMHO (might want to sub RDM for quick diaga pulls)
