Just use Firefox, it will stop near 100% of all the things hackers use to get your password on it's own.

Yes, Firefox makes you safer. No, it isn't anywhere near '100%', or even '90%' for that matter. Using Firefox is good, but there is no replacement for taking responsibility for your password and taking thirty minutes to research basic computer security.

You are not safe at all in the internet no matter ware you go, it can be good site like this one and still get viruses. Its just the world that we live in I guess.

Also, it doesn't matter the browser, you can still get hacked..so who ever said that needs to rethink himself/herself.

But this site has been hacked before on multiple occasions. PiNG has taken steps since then and there haven't been any recent incidents but that doesn't mean some other exploit or vulnerability might be found. Hell, remember that bug in the IE renderer that allowed malformed jpegs to execute code?

Uh, no. If a site doesn't have viruses on it, you can't get a virus by visiting it.

He means a good site can get hacked and you can end up with a virus/etc anyway.

The best way to avoid it all really is using a second computer to browse, other than that there's always the risk your info will be compromised no matter how well protected you are.

I ment, it can be a normal site, that you visit everyday. Any site can get a virus,adware,spyware,etc.. installed on it. But, in any case, nobody is fully protected against the bad stuff that is out there.

Hell, remember the part where IE is the most insecure browser in existence, and using it is begging to be hacked?

Seriously. I don't care if you use Firefox or Opera or Konqueror or Lynx or your phone, but for the love of god don't use IE. There's only one person I know that uses IE that I think has a clue what the hell they're doing, and they're far from Vanilla IE. And I know more than a couple people who have been working with PCs for at least a decade if not more.

I use IE, I dont really know what else to use, I hate IE and FireFox though so maybe something else. Also, IE crashes when you dont even do anything..like I logged on to this site and it just froze then crashed, didn't do a damn thing lol.

Rebooting your system with a liveCD is the same as using another computer. And I'm waaay to lazy to restart my computer everytime I want to browse. I mean if just logging out of the game to check on info is annoying as hell (lolwindowed mode fiasco) I seriously doubt I'd want to add a restart to that.

Guess playing on the 360 isn't looking as bad nowadays.
