well after a call to talk talks 2nd line support, im in the same boat still.

the guy suggested reducing the MTU value down to 1300 but this did not work for me.

i will be getting an update on wednesday from him... will post back then if i dont find anything uot before then.

Just got this reply from POL, i have tried and didn't work, but i may have done it wrong, tell me if it works for you guys

Thank you for contacting the PlayOnline Information Centre.

We have found the trend in this connection issue. Only customers using Talk Talk are experiencing this issue.

If your ISP is Talk Talk then you will need to contact them and explain what is happening.

If you would like more information about the issue from us to tell Talk Talk, then please contact us with your IP address and we will run a connection test for you and tell you exactly where you time out and what the last IP address you connect to is, before you lose connection. This will help Talk Talk identify where the issue is occuring on their side.

You may also want to forward the following ports to your router, should you be using one:
- TCP 25, 80, 110, 443 and 50000 - 65535
- UDP 50000 – 65535

If you do not know how to forward ports then please visit "portforward. com" or contact the router manufacturer.

im gonna try the waiting option. if it doesnt get fixed by the weekend then ill call talktalk and bitch at them. if they fail to fix the issue after a second week then i shall change my ISP. nuff said lol

If you have a dsl/cable modem, can you get it replaced with a new one? Not sure if this would help at all.

I'm so glad this isn't just me then. When POL support said "it's your ISP" I figured they were just passing on the blame, but I guess they were completrly telling the truth.

I guess we all have to wait this one out, although if anyone does find a solution please please post it asap O_O

well i hope mine starts working tonight when i get in... im sick of being elevated to different tech support levels in talk talk... im at lvl 3 support now.... i wonder if at the end i have to fight a boss, and get a nice new - emnity to talk talk piece of equipment ?

I got to play for a few days at least.

Beginning to lose patience with talktalk though.
