      Re: Campaign Experiences

      Did it again last night, in what turned to be a 10-15 minute battle in Pashow(which Bastok owns ) I decided to deter from my normal buffing activities and buffed myself up with everything I had. I slept 2 Quadav wacking on the tower, Gravity kited a 3rd around. People would eventually pull it off of me to burn it down, and the BLM's eventually got smart and started Sleepga the Quadav wacking on our Stronghold after I and a BRD were sleeping for along time. Earned 990xp that much, most I've gotten in one match so far.

      Kinda wish I was smart enough to remember to try and Bind another, but I dunno if that even would have stuck.

        Pretty much that's what I try to do...minus all the buffing and sleeping and gravity-ing...

        Most of the time I get there and see turtles at the fort, I'll piss off as many as I can then run as fast as I can away from everything. This gets real fun once support NPCs start popping because they can chase and attack the mobs if they're in range. Many times I've kited full HP mobs around only to have them eventually get pulled off with half their HP left. Doing this also keeps those NPCs hiding behind the forts useful as I'll just bring the mobs to them. Though I may not get the best exp from this, it does keep the forts safe! O.-

          The Gravity thing was a pretty fun idea that popped in my head at the time, figured I'd try it out. Worked pretty well, except for one time when Gravity wore, and both of my slept mobs came running to me from the other side of the fort. Needless to say I needed a raise after that >_>

            Re: Campaign Experiences

            tested out 25dnc/12nin to see what xp i could get. Missed the mobs 85% of the time but even when i hit i delt no damage. i never used and dances or shadows. about 3 min of this i quit early b/c i wasnt doing anything and still made 100 xp. The ONLY thing i did do was special jig (sneak/invis) while fighting. again, no damage output, no curing, no claims on a mob....nothing and made 100 xp in about 3-5 min.

              I once joined a Campaign in Rolanberry where we sat waiting for the quads. After about 5 minutes of nothing, I decided to hop over to Gusta for their battle. I got 10 Exp from the Rolanberry one, where the only thing I did was cast Utsu.

              If you can buff, cure or anything like that, you'll get exp for it.

                i agree, but i just cast sneak and invis. think you get xp for that? If so, ill go over and just keep doing that over and over for each fight and never have to party again. lol

                  Re: Campaign Experiences

                  ^^ actually this brings up some of my biggest 'pet peeves' over Campaign.

                  Lately I've been going as BRD, and as such words can not express the seething hatred I feel for all the retards who refuse to form a party for Campaign Battles. I mean why not?! Better coordination for one, safety for another, and for **** sake I'M A BARD! WHO DOESN'T WANT BUFFS TO EARN MORE EXP?! @ . @;

                  It's a miracle that the Orcs don't gain much if any influence for wailing on our fortifications, because most of the time while there's a horde, or even when it's just 1 Orc attacking it people run around chasing the big NM(s) trying to kill them.

                  Last night we had 3 or 4 waves, the 1st wave was the Steelhide Protectors (Conquerer Bakgodek). Well, guess what, even though people were stupid enough to ignore every other single mob around (or just about) Bagdodek ended up being the last mob to die. The lesson of the story? Leave the damn NMs alone (unless it's Steel Biter or Deathlord since they drop fast) and finish off the smaller orcs first @_ @

                  Ugh, and then you got the ppl who like to kite One-Eye around the tower, which usually results in everyone getting smacked around by his AoE... orz

                  Idk how San d'Oria is doing so well on Seraph, I really don't. Not with the morons under her employ ; ;

                    Re: Campaign Experiences

                    On Kujata everybody avoids Bakgodek. He's a Paladn/Monk/Dancer that can counter you for 500+ damage. His dances are pretty funny. It's almost exactly what you'd expect from an orc.

                      Re: Campaign Experiences

                      Well the pet thing is pretty nice. Carby+Me on Yag NM, died in <5 min due to Doom Spammage. RRed, raised someone, rested weakness out, fought 1 more mob with Carby for about 5 more min, got 725/400ish. That Yag NM, MNK is all i know I cant remember its name, just uses Doom every time it has TP, pretty shitty.

                        So I've been looking for that mysterious ??? in Jugner, and I've found one, but it isn't the correct one. It's on a fortification that looks a little extra fortified, and seems to be a quest ???. I'll keep looking.

                            Re: Campaign Experiences

                            There's a gate in Jugner that must be opened if you want to escort reinforcments to the tower. The key item needed is supposedly appears on a random beastman fortification in Jugner.

                              GOT IT

                              Sliced Pole

                              A pole you found at an Orc look out platform in Jugner Forest. The pole has been sliced length-wise, creating a half-moon shape on its ends.

                              Permanent Key Item

                              I was checking the ???s, but it would say I've found nothing out of the ordinary. Checking the locked gate TWICE tells you that you need something half-moon shaped. After checking the locked gate and returning to the ??? I was able to obtain it. The ??? disappears after claiming the key item.

                              Mad props.

                                Where exactly is this gate anyway, and is it a shortcut to anything?
