SE said they fixed it, along with the ridiculous range of some of the AoE's, yet to me it seems nothing's changed. The /cmap is slightly faster at best, and I'm still getting hit from over 10 feet away by fucking Battle Dance...

Oh yeah, and please SE, tone down One-Eyed (just a smidge) Warmachine and Deathlord. Those last 2 do waaaaaaaay the hell too much dmg. Being bad ass is one thing, being 1-shot from TWENTY FEET AWAY from full HP by AoE is retarded (Machine) as is being smacked for over 1k on a regular hit (deathlord)

      Re: Campaign Experiences

I just wanted to add that I have made anywhere between 300-1800 xp doing these. My top 3 out of the last 15 runs are: 1875, 1595, and 1115. I come 64pld/22 dnc and i flash like hell and cureing waltz my party. Great xp and actually really fun.

Wow... I get 800 at best from Cure/Raising/Nuking as BLM/WHM... I wonder if Flash really does that much... or if it's the dances... and if so, what would Stun do?

          Re: Campaign Experiences

I'm really not sure how it works.

So far my best guess is that simply attacking will rack up EXP/LP, but actions that aid others or tanking or something else is what determines your AN gain. I could be wrong of course, as I've yet to see a case where someone got more notes than EXP.

            Re: Campaign Experiences

In one campaign battle five of us managed to take down just one Bakgodek guard while NPCs dealt with the rest, and we all made off with 800+ EXP, even the one healer who was engaged and dealing damage with us.

I think contributions made differ between acts made against the enemies and those for allies. I know damage dealt is important when meleeing, but I can't say much beyond that.

If any mages would like, they can attempt to heal while engaged, while engaged and dealing melee damage, and simply healing and then engaging as the enemy dies. Maybe we can figure out how exactly points are assigned.

              Re: Campaign Experiences

Escort through Jugner is impossible unless you can open the gate. Thanks a whole lot SE for letting me waste a few hours figuring that out on my own. Real classy.

Campaign is still broken in so many ways. It's really starting to get annoying.

                Re: Campaign Experiences

Campaign Battles have gotten a bit better now, but not much. Some mobs are still way too powerful or have too much range on their AoE (Warmachine >_>).

The /cmap still takes too long to update as well, but it seems SE did a Ninja fix to the frequency of campaign battles. They're not as fast as at first, but not as slow as they were after the 1st adjustment either. They're very close to the sweetspot now IMO. I'd like them to be just slightly more frequent, and for the damned /cmap to update faster.

Oh yeah, those god damn Kindred Gnats are still near impossible to kill...

Campaign has taught me there is a new status effect: Gradual Petrify. 20 seconds to cure it, Massive movement speed down.

Anybody know what item in the game is half-moon shaped? Whatever it is, it's used to open the gate in Jugner.

Easy my ass. On my 75 SAM/WAR I could barely hit them and for crap dmg (even our NPCs had trouble) while they flew around one-shotting people...

                          Re: Campaign Experiences

Jagibod's Warmachine spams 1500+ damage bombs. I watch people kite him all the time.

Now Jugner is the place to be for Campaign. We had five or six battles in succession recently, but I only got 1300 LP, which was lame. It must have been a max. We actually ran out with the NPCs and met Bakgodek south over the river.

It's supposedly a key item found on one of the orc Platforms in Jugnar. It'll move around after a while but once you have it, you keep it.
