  • Quick fSTR Question...

    I don't know why I can't remember this, and I can't seem to find it anywhere either, if you guys can refresh my memory...when calculating WS damage, if a player's fSTR is uncapped, (say 8.5 on a rank 4 weapon), do you round that value down to the nearest whole # before doing the rest of the calculations?

    Thanks~

    Quick fSTR answer...

    fSTR can only take integer values. I'm assuming you're using (dSTR+4)/4 to "calculate" fSTR? Bear in mind that this formula is an approximation since it only holds true when fSTR values are positive and fairly high. Regardless, you'd drop all decimals, no rounding.

      oO Yesh; since I suck at math, in-game formulas makes my head hurt. ; ;

        I was actually using fSTR2, so (dSTR+6)/2, was just running hypothetical math on Coffinmaker vs. Martial Gun and STR vs. AGI for COR.

        Add: Oh, and thanks for the answer^^

          For fSTR2 you'd use (dSTR+4)/2.

          Naw, the formulas are all pretty simple. Straightforward addition/subtraction/multiplication/division. Just that there's a bunch of them, and some of them look intimidating because they use names like dSTR and PDIF for a single variable.

            From what I saw on fSTR2 if dSTR is > 11 you'd use +6/2, I used +4/2 when it was @ 11 then +6/2 @ 12+, you sure it's always +4?

            Nevermind I see what I did, I flip-flopped them...early, moar coffee, etc., etc.
