Re: The pros and cons of WotG so far

    Pros:
-So far interesting Mission and good quets. The windy line was epic ^^
-Campaign is interesting and easy way to get EXP
-The current AN items are nice and the Bastok/Sandy set armors look very cool stat wise
-Both DNC and SCH seem interesting
-Good music and sounds in the zone (animals in Marshland before and during a storm)

    Cons:
-Campaign battles are very random, very often, may burn people fast so they loose interest
-Campaign map is very slow to update the sword icons for battles
    -Campaign Ops missions
-IMO lack of content, we got some reskinned zone, three new zone, some 10-15 quests and 3 Missions. The two jobs go to the plus side though

This expansion got alot of possibilities both for new zones to open(SE said davoi etc. will open later), more quests, NPC interaction and so on.
What I would like to see is the medal expire to be removed and time limit on certain Campaign Ops missions to be removed(Stock and Awe got infinite time I think but some got 2-5 mins time limit)
I still don't understand the reason for ToAU mobs in Sandy and Bastok, I know that the frogs originated in Windurst, plus a LS mamber told me he saw Hippogryphs(COP mobs from Riverne) in Grauberg
One Windurst to rule them all
One Windurst to conquer the others
One Windurst to find the others
    And in mithraness bind them

your "lack of content" con, really does not count.... the expansion just came out 6 days ago.... give it some time..... they cant give us all of it, right off the bat.

400/1200 hp with sneak and invis. ran by a sprite....cure V yes please. didnt remove sneak or invis also.....aka PIMP. You can get bottled pixies and release them in a spring to "free" them and ive heard they are starting to show up in regular zones aka not in the past.

Constant campaign battles is good IMO. We're in a war here, it should feel like it.

and @ the though of slaying Pixies for BLU magic... I dun wanna!

Hmm, perhaps this is what they meant, that mobs in WotG zones that are left unkilled for a certain length of time start spawning in corresponding core zones? For pixies this sounds like good news, but for a lot of mobs I could see this causing problems...

I guess it depends. Are they spawning as the same level that they were in the past? B/c lvl 70 goblins running around North Gustaberg and and Piestes running around Pashow in modern times could be pretty bad. Now, they popping in the CE zones at a level more normal with the regular mobs could be kinda cool. If some of these new mobs have abilities that can be learned by BLU's, then that might be a safer way of getting them.

Re: The pros and cons of WotG so far

Gotta say I love the newest zones added. They're on the scale of some of the largest CoP zones, though after the Fort and the Inlet, I appreciated how much more straight forward Grauberg was.

Got all my maws for Kitten, now for round two on the Taru after I get some levelling done on SAM. My girl is itching to level DNC, so I'm gonna get my SAM sub done with her.

I think I'm drawn to scholar at the moment. I've never taken an mage job all the way to 75 and fell out of interest with RDM long ago, which was the one I had taken the highest. I definately want to do dancer, but I'm going to avoid the hype train like I did with COR, take advantage and get that SAM sub done. Most likely they'll be as rare as WHM and CORs by late January >.>

Also about the colibri thing. I'm not so sure of their level on West Ronfrare, they conned low evasion to me at 75, but not low defense, making me think they might be scaled just before Robber Crabs. I'd have to go back and check on another job.

Caught a 14 scholar soloing on North Gustaberg [S], of all the lowbie camps, it looks like most friendly one, as the gobs are a good ways off on the map.

im wondering how freelance npcs work :x. if they are like NMs only rarer itll be super hard to recruit them. since others will recruit them first

                        How does it not count?

If you went to a bakery and paid full price for a pie and ended up being told "Sorry, you can only have 1 slice of your pie once every month" you would think that wouldn't be right.

                          It's called common sense.

RoTZ, CoP AND ToAU didn't have much content wise at release, things were added over time, you're pretty much wanting, if you expected everything at the start, to be dumped into a MMORPG, Maxed out money, gear, items, stats and told to go buck wild.

However, WoTG is barely 1 week old, you will NOT get everything at the start, you may want to try one of those various free MMORPGs that never gets expansion packs if you expect everything all in one go.

It's a common rule with most MMOs to release their expansion data over the course of the months. If they dumped everthing and people were to breeze through it in one day; they would all complain that the the expansion was 'too weak.'

Pro- I love Dnc and Sch so far both lvl 20 and going to stay that way for awhile maybe when I'm done meriting RDM.

Con- I missed a few cutscenes (just due to a small oil fire on the stove >.>) and can't find a storyteller to watch the cutscenes again...So question, Do we know why we're being sent back in the past?? I think that might be what I'm missing...or do they even get into that in the first few CSs?

Ya sort of. It was in the mission 2 cutscene you would have got when you entered a maw around Jeuno after doing the quests to join the allied forces. There are goblin footprints in the past zones, so chances are that's where you'd be going to see them again. For me I went through the Sauromugue Champaign Maw, so I'd be checking the goblin footprints near the zone to Meriphataud.
