  • New Spells... how???

Dancer and Scholar are obtained in the past obviously.

However, SE said there are no shops or AH in the towns in these times. So... wtf? I'm sure they won't make us exchange allied notes either for them, that'd be a bit much I'd think.

    So wtf?

I think the question he's asking is "How do Scholars and Dancers go about learning their spells?"

The only thing I can think of is either
      A) Obtained through quests from NPCs
      B) Obtained as drops from common mobs
      C) Maybe you'll have to learn them fighting mobs that dance or cast Scholar like spells >.> (Hope not though)

Although Dancer looks like their abilities are just learned by lvling maybe.

Why don't you just wait until tomorrow when some of us have the game expansion instead of starting a speculation thread that will be useless in less than a day?

Yeah I'm gonna have my PS2 copy when I get home today so I'll figure out something...

Plus alot of the inital scollar spells are just basic stuff we can buy now. Still it's fun to wonder where the job specfic stuff will come from...

They didn't say there are NO shops in the towns, just not as many and not the same ones. They even went so far as to say that gil is used as currency in the past. If there are absolutely no shops, what would you use gil for?

No, there are scrolls as evidenced by the .dats

I coulda sworn SE said all the shops were closed, save for a few inside military tents or something. We haven't even seen what Jeuno is like, but Jeuno isn't even available yet in the past > _<

All of Dancer's abilities are learned like all other Job Abilities, by leveling.

All of Scholar's low lvl spells are simple, common spells you buy anywhere. All their high lvl stuff is most likely found at either an NPC shop item, or past mob drops.
