Heh, finally got my copy today at about 5p central time. Had to keep freakin' calling GameStop to see if they got it in shipment and finally got an affirmative answer out of 'em. And though I'm pleased as punch that I got it, I'm not all that worried about whether or not the servers are up for registration. I'm like a crazed five-year-old: just wanna hold mah shining thing in hand and can install whenever I want.

Next thing I need to get is a replacement usb gamepad converter. My old one is... tempermental, at best. Works only if it's in a certain position. Any suggestions on good, working converters? My current is a di-something-or-other. It's blue and it fails.

Server was up at 10pm gmt when i managed to register, (3.5 hours ago) so give it a try.

Finally managed to get mine at 10am CDT today in Minnesota... Now I just have to wait the 30 more minutes till I get off of work (gg 11am-10pm shift)...

Then an hour of patching and, if I'm lucky, I can register.

The amount of failure involved with this debacle is staggering... I'm not normally a bitter person about stuff like this, but honestly... While I hope no one lost thier job over this, I certainly hope someone was severely reprimanded, at both the printing company that was responsible and at Square. To delay an entire shipment because the requirements said Vista... someone should really tell Square that, 1) As a populace, we're not retarded, and 2) No one reads those stickers anyway.

I've got two, a BOOM PSX-N64 USB Converter I got for about $8 on Lik-Sang, and a Super JoyBox 5 Pro (with four controller ports) that I got off Play-Asia for about $15. Both work well, but they have slightly different numbering for the four shape buttons. The Boom converter also works with Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. I've detected no input delay with either, and I've used them a lot with the Touhou games, which won't stand for input delay since they're bullet-hell shmups.

The Boom is transparent blue, and the Supoer JoyBox is solid Black. I use PS2 controllers with both, and haven't quite had the analog on an N64 controller working with a proper deadzone on the Boom.

Thanks bunches for that info bungie, I'll have to look into both. So far, the only one I found that I thought would be more reliable than the one I currently own is one put out by Red Octane. Not really wanting to spend $20 for a converter, as that's it's cost, but I will if I must. At least the two you suggested will give me more options. Thanks again. =D

Seriously though, it depresses me when companies can't even figure out/set up a simple queuing system.

I would rather be told I was 2500th in line to register with an hour wait time then have to click a button every 30 seconds.
