The update didn't improve my graphical performance at all, talk of it being super duper-tastic DX9 were lies! Filthy lies! The only change I found in the game config utility was a checkbox for windowed mode. Nice, but not exactly the suite of graphical options I'd been hoping for to precisely tweak the game to my system.

DX9 is coming with the expansion itself, not an update attached to it.

Good to hear, because SE's windower has effed something up. A lot of users are having 3-5 FPS, and when I use it and try to go to another window, the entire computer slows down. Horrendous. D:

anyone notice that with the new update there are folders 189-197 in your main "Final Fantasy XI" folder now? don't these normally belong under ROM (and I do see them there) or something?

So it has been about 5hrs since I tried to play FFXI on pc. No luck. Windower is sluggish at 6fps. I go back to fullscreen and its not even logging me in. Good work SE the expansion better fix this mess. Because this is just stupid. Btw DX9 will not improve the graphics much if at all. Unless they decided to redo the textures for the expansion. Hopefully DX9 will however allow for smoother game play. Since after all it is more efficient the DX8.

Other than the FPS crap and the Reraise being canceled while dying in any battlefield glitch (sent stuff in for both, but whatever), really love the auto-mog house thing and looking forward to SCH (though I need to get my last 4 HQ staffs >.>)....

The Cavernous Maws look really out of place lol.

The new crafting furnishings though...200k points. Thanks, but no thanks.

and what is with all this BS about the poor frame rate... I am using windowed mode and I am fine. The problem lies, in when you go to another window the OS is not focusing on FF souly anymore, and thats when my frame rate is horrible. BTW POL has always been like that, for those who run it in Window mode.

Normally I run at 28-29 FPS in all of Whitegate but the AH, which is around 22. After the update today I'm at ~18-20 for most parts of Whitegate and 12-16 at the AH. Tried all 3 forms of playing, S-E windower, unofficial windower and full screen mode. No change.

Kailea I am telling you, I have run the game in fullscreen and in windowed mode nothing else is open. It is not OS dependant it is something wrong with the update. I am getting 6-8fps no matter what the settings are. I dont know why it is effecting certain pcs but I know my computer can more then handle this game. I will take screen shots but that would be a waste of my time. You thing its bs because its not happening you. Think about it. Accidents do not happen to everyone so, that means they do not happen right? I have used windower SE's version and the older windower and other version nothing works. its all slowed down to a crawl. So if you are not going to help why post and call it BS. The windower loads up slowly and it preforms slow.

Bug #3:

Zhalyom Remnants Boss Battleclad Chariot's unique move Discoid got an accidental boost: Went from magical "4400 needles" like effect to "55000 needles". Whoops

Bug #4 (?):

Gears in Salvage zones now spam Restoral at low HP. I dunno that one seems almost natural, spamming healing moves at low HP to stay alive.

well then there does seem to be a problem then, but really, you all act like this is the first time an update has causing problems here and there -.- give it a day or two at most, and stuff will be adjusted and fixed.
