    Yes, they were explaining this in relation to smn. not just in general like, oh theres gonna be new avatars in the game but specifically mentioned it concerning smn.

    They didnt give a number but like omniblast said he stressed plural. You will see/hear in my video, he goes 'avatarsssssssssZZZZZZ'

        I'd dig the concept of a 'pet' provoke. ....that would be pretty funny. ...and the mobs shall again fear my Hare Familiar....

        I'd like to see what they've got for whm as well. After bst goes up to 75, I'd have to continue to lvl that. ^^

            For drg they want to give the wyvren more actions depending on the type of wyvren you have out. They werent decided if the actions would be player initiated or event triggered based on the type of situation you are in.

            I'm sure ako will have a nice detailed report. I'm just going off what I remember.

                These new spells for Red Mage better add more to the versatility it already has. If they do, I'll be proud to be a Red Mage again.

                A quick "on-and-off" enmity switch for Ninja, I see...Heheh, this going to help Ichi recasting a whole lot.

                Bwahaha! More Blue Mage spells!

                Woo-hoo for new Corsair rolls!

                I can't wait to see what they do to make Dark Knights use their MP to improve their DPS.

                This entire list looks like EPIC WIN.

                    I have a SAM friend and he welcomes the idea of a slight nerf to Hasso -- which, my friends and I all agree, is the problematic bit when it comes to SAM specifically. (By "slight", I mean on the order of "make the Acc bonus only +5 and the STR bonus only 1/10 level, rounded down".) They just do too much damage that way, especially since the 2H adjustment. People just can't tank for a SAM in the second half of a battle anymore unless a SAM turns it off in favor of Seigan, even with the help of a TA Shark Bite. Now that's broken.

                    As for the 2H re-adjustment in particular, I feel a fix is necessary, but I also hope they don't overdo it. If it goes below 3 STR for 2 Att I'll be annoyed. -- Pteryx

                      And after years of DW's complete BROKENESS, SE finally fixes 2h to be ON PAR, and now that DWers finally have some DD competition, they go and whine about it to SE.

                      In all seriousness though, the 2h update as an absolute godsend, and despite an initial bump on the 1h front (which SE fixed, I might add), the playing field is finally level for the first time in years. 2h weapons finally do the kind of dmg a two-handed weapon should, and put three jobs whose sole purpose is melee DD on the top of the list where they should be in that regard. Meanwhile DW and 1h jobs retain the fast attacks they're known for, and still put up respectable numbers, by in my truly honest opinion, they shouldn't really be able to compare to the raw power of the likes of Dragoon, Dark Knight, Samurai, and GAXE Warrior. Shanking someone with a dagger or gutting someone with a sword shouldn't do anywhere near the kind of damage taking someone down with a great axe, great katana, or spear would.

                      EDIT: Oh, more wyvern actions? More emotes, or Blood Pact-like JAs we can initiate? Perhaps giving the AI more options depending on the wyvern type and situation yur in? One can only hope.

                          Just to be clear for you, they said they are adjusting the 2handers not sending them back to how they were.

                          So you can calm the fuck down now.

                          It would be totally pointless of them to introduce a change then move it back to exactly how it was before. They already stated that they realize the discrepancy (sp?) between dw and 2h and they wanted to change it. So you'll still have your boost it'll just be a bit more reasonable.

                          I've had drg and drk drop 1800 ws at lv. 64 when im on my cor. while all other jobs only peak around 500-700 at that level. If you dont see that as still needing adjustment then you're completely not being objective.

                          The one thing I noticed about todays dev panel (explained by sage sundi) is that they realize they've made mistakes and but they are always trying to improve and balance the game. There was so much new content and features they annouced today it was a bit overwhelming. I dont think I've seen this much new stuff in any game I've played so far.

                          Allied Campaign by itself was already a boat load of content. There are 4 major parts to campaign and for all of you complaining about solo/quick/low level content... they announced today that there will be plenty of things to do for campaign that will be just that: soloable. quick. low level content.
