Re: Does anyone Play FFXI on a Projector TV?
I played FFXI for the PS2, briefly, on a LCD projector. No problems with burn in.
You might want to check your XBox360 manual however and see what it says about using various kinds displays. The PS2, for example, specifically warns against using it on a DLP display.
EDIT:
"briefly" as in for about 2 months.

Why the hell would they warn against DLP? DLP are immune to burn-in.

That'd be fairly sweet. Then I'd be able to play while laying in bed! But my monitor is huge, so I still get that high-res yumminess (registry editing of course).

Re: Does anyone Play FFXI on a Projector TV?
I'm not too tech savvey, but I think what you're talking about is like of the TVs in my house. It's not a projector like Ballfree showed, but a projection TV, usually rather large (think mine is 60").
I have played on it a few times and havn't noticed any burn ins, but if you decided to play on it, I'd suggest not AFKing half the day with it running. Once thing you could do is just set it to spin around in circles while you're gone so that the screen is always changing. You can do that with setting the mouse curser near the edge or if you use a controller, a rubber band around the joystick that moves the camera.
Personally I just didn't like it, so I usually either play with a projector, or hoook it up to the plasma in my gaming room. Or just play on my laptop while at work >.>;

Necro are you sure it's a good idea to play on your plasma? That HDTV type is notoriously known to get burn-in very easily. I'm not sure if the newer models have ways to prevent burn-in though.

I'm not entirely certain that it is preventive to burn-ins, but I rarely ever leave it idoling for long. If I have to go AFK and want to bazzar something I just turn the TV off.
Most times I end up just playing on the PC or something anyways. Can't say what it would do if I played for extreme hours on the plasma.
