The players of this game are already not on an even field, what with the differences between the two consoles and the PC. And it's likely never going to be truly equal, so worrying about it too much is just a recipe for frustration. Use the windower or don't, but understand that everyone else is going to have the same choice.

Still fuzzy on what these add ons are in windower.A lot of people in my old LS spoke of it so i went downloaded found out it was a banable offense got rid of it.though it will be handy too play at the end of the month legally now i can check missions on alakazam right away and not waste time printing em off or logging in and out getting info

Cheat tools much worse than windower exist. Ultimately it's in the hands of the players to be responsible with their use or unuse of these programs. It's just a bit easier to resist the temptation when you're not linked to the devil's doorstep. Not that it's hard to find or anything ... Still, the official stance of this site to condemn the promotion and distribution of third party programs for FFXI so I'm gonna close this thread down. Nothing to be said on the subject that hasn't been said before anyway.
