Because it took me so long to level from 1-75 the first time, I'd be damned if I'd spend the time deleveling myself to start back from a certain point. Hey, if that's what works for you, then cool! I really just couldn't do it to myself.

Sold all my BRD, RDM and DRG gear to become a career COR and RNG on a 2nd character. The original is now 65 BST and taking up PUP next most likely. Unless there's another job coming thats intriguing, that may be all I want from my original. I like my 2nd character better.

My edited message was because I tried to use a quote apparantly. I was responding to the comment about how long it would take to go to level 3. It took me about 15 hours of play time to go from 75 to 40 (and this was with me forgetting I had moghancement experience). It is normally 12 deaths a level 51-75 and 10 deaths a level below 51. So I would guess another 6-7 hours I could have gone all the way to level 3. I have no reason to do that, but if for some reason you do, go for it. Pull an all-day/all-nighter you could go from 75 to 3 in one day!

Crazy? I say ur my hero. just the other day I said the last goal I have in ffxi is to delevel a job from 75 to 1.. the LS pointed out I could only get to like 3 cuz u cant delevel below that. Well they all laughed at me and said I was crazy lol well Bubers directed me to this Link . lol I loved it. Well like u siad think outside the box.. have fun ... you pay ur account not everyone else so play it how you want too.

A long time ago, I made people go with my THF to CoP 2.5 (the Mammet x3 fight), then I insisted on kiting two Mammets at once. At the time, that LS only had tried using RDMs to kite Mammets, and CoP 3.5 resulted in wipes more often than not.

Did I mention the only thing I've ever kited before was ... a kite? (It broke and fell to the ground in less than a minute.)

Just an update. Got maat's cap a while back. XP with this method has been silly good. Howling Fist at 57 and Asuran Fists at 67. Its been fun, but I'm not done yet. Still got quite a ways to go to take all 20 jobs to 75.

Restarting when I can actually just restore my character. But then I wouldn't be a Mithra, I suppose. I just hate getting to the advanced jobs again. ._.

Once a month my friend(64 DRK/THF) and I(68BLM/RDM) made a bets of who can kite a mob to a zone. At first it started as small mobs (the disappearing mobs update hadnt happen yet) but we got really good at it and started to kite NMs then it became HNMs to zone.

I think my favorite one was when he bet me 100k that I couldnt kite Vrtra from its spawning point to the zone but he would open the door to let me out. Yeah... he won 100k that time. I buffed up, ES + dia Vrtra at max range and ran. I had gathered the train from hell as I was running and then I saw the bats at the end of the zone. I thought I was 100k richer, then I suddenly started running in place. The one worm at the beginning of the zone caught me with bind. I resisted the other attempt of bind by a worm early on in the run. I quickly casted sleepga 2 and slept nearly all the train...but guess who I see running up. First two hits ate through my stoneskin + Phalanx and the final two hits had me eating cave dirt.

The best one I had for him was Waraxe Beak to Sauromugue Champaign for 40k. I thought I was screw because he casted Bio 2 and Fleed away, but he got lost in the mountains and couldnt find the exit out. He died a horrible death.

/sigh... good times, good times.
