I was just wondering if all the mobs and stuff are gonna force you to be in the 70 range cuz im only 68 now, and a lot of the ToAG was like that, cant do the cool stuff till ur like 74-75

Yes, it will most likely be high level content.

I really hope not. A lot of people complain about the difficulties of finding lower level parties these days. If they made low-level zones that were fast xp off easy mobs, similar to colibri, etc in aht'urghan many players will want to join in and level there.

If the low-level zones give crazy fast XP, no one will be there either. They'll have left after five minutes cos they got all the XP they needed to move on to the next area.

For the OP, I'm able to do quite a bit of cool stuff at 60 - I wouldn't worry too much about WotG, especially if you're already 68.

You can easily do every assault mission at 60 if you get yourself a semi-static. But 70-ish should be fine to participate in some high lvl things.

Edit: Also, they said the expansion would be focused on high lvl content, so expect 50-60+

Just depends how crazy you are.

I was on my 56SMN yesterday to do Golden Salvage, and I didn't want to change back to 75BLM for Besieged, so I grabbed a camera and some soul plates and ran right into Illuyankas and Gulool Ja Ja snapping pictures left and right.

I also died like 20 times. The sound of one of our RDM's that was following me around and raising me every time I bit it screaming at me over TS made me laugh more than it should have, really.

So, even if there are things that are 'better' at high level, who's to say that S-E won't introduce other things that players of multiple levels can enjoy? Even if you have to be just a little bit crazy to do so. Everyone should be a little crazy sometimes.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - high levels tend to exaggerate the level they need for other players to participate in high level content.

Take Dynamis as your general rule of thumb here - the entry requirement is 65, hence, level 65+ players can competently participate. You can likely complete Rank 10 as a level 60 player, I did it as a 61 RNG and I led the static for it. Only reason we ever lost the Rank 10 BC is because of couple quivering, talentless, forum-fed level 75 players insisted we needed all 75s to win and wouldn't listen to directions. They were trying to zerg the BC. When they listened to me, we won. Imagine that.

Assaults players just insist on all 75s because its easier to do them uncapped. Players, by and large, do not stay prepared for level capped content. I keep level cap gear for RDM, BST, BRD and COR all the time just in case it is needed. I've personally kicked people from CoP statics for not being prepared for 50 caps. People will try to get by on what they have and they'll try to do it the easiest and cheapest way, as infuriating as that can be sometimes.

Its nice to have all 75s for some things, but not always needed.

That said, it would be ridiculous to expect any content for the pre-50 player in this expansion. There is no need for more low-level content at this point in the game. The last 20 levels of EXP are broken as it is, I want NOTHING colibri-like puttering about pre-50.

Low level mobs are already easy and weak, and we only use a very small fraction of all the possible low level EXP zones either way.

I haven't really see a MMO that "let low level have fun" beside FFXI, FFXI is the only game where low level players (not cap) have many things to do. Consider since many things require "level cap" BCNM is one of them.

I am sure WOTG will have alot low level things to do as well...just people never brother to do them. I mean who really does Promies right on level 30 anyway ?

SE said in an interview with 1UP that 90% of the WotG content will be for high level players.

It makes sense, of course, because so much of the population of the game is 60+ anyway.

I wouldn't mind seeing some fun stuff to do with lower level jobs, but if they force me to level cap again I'll scream. I didn't much care for the level capped BCs in CoP.
